Good morning, Friends! It's Festive Friday and I'm back with a set of slider tags to get you ready for the holiday season. There are only 18 days before the big day, so it's time to get cracking!
It had been a while since I pulled out my
Ribbon Slider Sentiments set, so I decided to give that a whirl today. I love the sentiments in the set and I like that some of them are typeset to be tall and narrow rather than the typical horizontal orientation. It gives them a modern flair that I really like.
So to create today's tags I started out by die cutting six
Ribbon Slider tags from white cardstock. I stamped two with the chevron image in Mint Julep and the trunk in Classic Kraft to create funky trees. Then, I stamped the greeting in Pinefeather and embellished the dots in the design with red glitter. Easy and cute to boot!
Next up, I stamped that same chevron at either end of two more of the tags along with a sentiment in Pinefeather. I stamped the sentiment a second time using Pure Poppy ink onto scrap cardstock. I used a 5/8" circle punch to pop out the "special" circles and adhered them to the tags with foam tape. I'm sure there's a die in my collection that would do the same thing, but this punch was handy. Another super easy tag.
Last, I did the "To:/From:" tag. The image on this tag comes in two pieces, a striped one and a solid one. It's a snap to line them up as long as you stamp your darker color first. In this case, I used Pinefeather on the striped image and Mint Julep on the solid.
To finish the tags, I simply tied them with Cherry baker's twine. I like the modern look these tags have when they're tied on with twine, but ribbon is also a wonderful alternative.
Thank you so much for joining me today! I hope you have a fantastic, festive weekend, Friends! See you again soon!
