Welcome to Day 1 of the April release introductions from <a href="https://blog.thegreetery.com/2020/03/24/fresh-air-day-1-a-top-down-kind-of-day">The Greetery</a> (<i>new products, unless otherwise noted, will be available on March 27th at 10am ET</i>)! Today the team is showcasing some super fun and whimsical products that are perfect for welcoming Spring and warmer temperatures. Let's jump right in!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49692104503/in/dateposted/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_April2020_TopDownDay_PainterlyStripes_SilverLiningDie_Cards"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_April2020_TopDownDay_PainterlyStripes_SilverLiningDie_Cards" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49692104503_140468f6c8_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>

First up, I have a birthday card made with the Top Down Day stamp set. This charming set features a sporty convertible and a wonderful selection of greetings that cover everything from birthday to hello and beyond!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49692949462/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_April2020_TopDownDay_PainterlyStripes_SilverLiningDie_CruisinByBirthdayCard"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_April2020_TopDownDay_PainterlyStripes_SilverLiningDie_CruisinByBirthdayCard" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49692949462_fcc349f79c_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
I began by creating a little scene for my car. I used the Pathway stencil to create a little cobblestone road and added clouds by creating a stencil using the new Silver Lining die (this die will be a little delayed, but should be available in early April).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49692949432/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_April2020_TopDownDay_PainterlyStripes_SilverLiningDie_CruisinByBirthdayCard2"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_April2020_TopDownDay_PainterlyStripes_SilverLiningDie_CruisinByBirthdayCard2" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49692949432_1dec4dd7d5_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
I stamped and die cut my convertible and added the driver and balloons to give my card some birthday style. Then, I stamped my sentiment and matted my scene with a Postal Frames die cut.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49692646941/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_April2020_TopDownDay_PainterlyStripes_SilverLiningDie_CruisinByBirthdayCard3"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_April2020_TopDownDay_PainterlyStripes_SilverLiningDie_CruisinByBirthdayCard3" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49692646941_1e0e58a77e_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
Next, I used the new Painterly Stripes background to create the plaid pattern on a white card base. I wanted to soften the pattern a touch and add some color to the card base, so I lightly blended ink over top of the pattern in the same color. Then, I just mounted my scene to the center of the card base. Cute!<br />
<br />
My second card has a little bit of an interactive element involved. It was super easy to create a slider using the bumper of the Happy Hippie Van die to make a channel.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49692105268/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_April2020_TopDownDay_PainterlyStripes_SilverLiningDie_SunnySideCard"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_April2020_TopDownDay_PainterlyStripes_SilverLiningDie_SunnySideCard" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49692105268_205d292bac_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
I began by die cutting the clouds (again, the Silver Lining die will be delayed until April, but it's totally worth the wait) and cutting the slider channel in the top layer. I sponged a sunny glow on the back cloud layer to look like the sun peeking from between the clouds before assembling the scene. Then, I applied a thin line of glitter to the edge of the clouds to give them a sparkly "silver lining" look.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49692647541/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_April2020_TopDownDay_PainterlyStripes_SilverLiningDie_SunnySideCard3"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_April2020_TopDownDay_PainterlyStripes_SilverLiningDie_SunnySideCard3" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49692647541_8ae5666751_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
I adhered all of the layers to an aqua card base that I had stamped with the same Painterly Stripes background. I love that you can get different looks with this background just by rotating it or stamping only once!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49692105293/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_April2020_TopDownDay_PainterlyStripes_SilverLiningDie_SunnySideCard2"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_April2020_TopDownDay_PainterlyStripes_SilverLiningDie_SunnySideCard2" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49692105293_c926316afb_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
This time, I created a sunny yellow convertible filled with flowers. Betsy's handy stamping guide makes it a snap to put together the bouquet! I also stamped and die cut the sentiment and attached it in the center of the sunny glow to reinforce the theme. Isn't it just adorable?!<br />
<br />
Thank you so much for joining me today! Unfortunately, this is my last post for a bit so I'll miss seeing you for the rest of this release. I have two more projects to share with you featuring two super collections that are so much fun! Let's get to it!<br />
<br />
First up, I have a card showcasing the Modern Frame bundle. The die collection in this bundle also coordinates with the I Like You freebie (with qualifying purchase) for this month, so you get even more bang for your buck. I love that!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49593980233/in/dateposted/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_Concord&9th_February2020_ModernFrameBundle_GratitudeCard"><img alt="LizzieJones_Concord&9th_February2020_ModernFrameBundle_GratitudeCard" height="400" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49593980233_76064f5b93_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
I began by blending a very soft aqua background onto a piece of linen cardstock. I really like the extra special touch you get from linen stock. So much texture, but it's not screaming at you. I added some speckles using the splatter stamp from the Brushed Stripe Background and then framed the area with two metallic gold Modern Frame die cuts.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49593980313/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_Concord&9th_February2020_ModernFrameBundle_GratitudeCard3"><img alt="LizzieJones_Concord&9th_February2020_ModernFrameBundle_GratitudeCard3" height="400" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49593980313_44ee80b091_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
Next, I heat embossed a sentiment from the Modern Frame stamp set onto the stitched rectangle die cut from the Stitched Blooms collection. I layered that with another die cut, this time from a darker cardstock to give a shadow effect, and mounted it to the front of my card.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49594480401/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_Concord&9th_February2020_ModernFrameBundle_GratitudeCard2"><img alt="LizzieJones_Concord&9th_February2020_ModernFrameBundle_GratitudeCard2" height="400" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49594480401_e4f0860254_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
Then, I added flower and leaf die cuts that I had shaded with Copics. I double layered the flower to give it some volume and then added a glittery enamel dot to the center of the flower to tie the color scheme together. I love the way those stamped splatters draw your eye from one side of the sentiment to the other. Such a simple yet impactful detail.<br />
<br />
And finally for my projects this month, I have a birthday card made with the new Forever Flower bundle. These infinity cards are so much fun and they're deceptively easy to put together!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49594726887/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_Concord&9th_February2020_ForeverFlowerBundle_BirthdayFlowerCard"><img alt="LizzieJones_Concord&9th_February2020_ForeverFlowerBundle_BirthdayFlowerCard" height="400" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49594726887_f03573a1d2_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
I started by stamping and die cutting two sets of flowers. The first I cut from pink cardstock and the other I cut from white that I had stamped with the Blooms Turnabout. On the back of the pink flower, I stamped the dots from the Forever Flower set. On the back of the Turnabout flower, I stamped the Brushed Stripe Background in a cheerful yellow.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49594480571/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_Concord&9th_February2020_ForeverFlowerBundle_BirthdayFlowerCard2"><img alt="LizzieJones_Concord&9th_February2020_ForeverFlowerBundle_BirthdayFlowerCard2" height="400" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49594480571_4959d59995_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
I assembled the flower by following the very helpful tutorial up on the <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GryjfHsvrkU">Concord & 9th YouTube channel</a> and then set about to decorating. On the front I heat embossed a sentiment from the Modern Frame set along with glittered die cuts spelling out "Dear" that are included in the Forever Flower die set.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49594480626/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_Concord&9th_February2020_ForeverFlowerBundle_BirthdayFlowerCard3"><img alt="LizzieJones_Concord&9th_February2020_ForeverFlowerBundle_BirthdayFlowerCard3" height="400" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49594480626_0b92f0854e_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
Inside, on the first flip, I used sentiments from the Blooms Turnabout and Modern Frame (stamped onto a Stitched Blooms die cut). On the second flip I used the Happy and Birthday sentiments from the Forever Flower set. The cool thing is, you can see the sentiment through the petals on the first flip, too, so the birthday message gets plenty of attention. This is a really clever and innovative collection and I know I'll be using it a ton in the future!<br />
<br />
That's all for me for this month. I've really enjoyed my time guesting for <a href="https://www.blogger.com/%3Ca%20href=%22https://shareasale.com/r.cfm?b=784733&u=1469403&m=62090&urllink=&afftrack=%22%3EConcord%20&%209th%3C/a%3E">Concord & 9th</a> and I really hope you've enjoyed it, too. Have a great weekend, everybody, and I'll see you again soon!<br />

I'm back today to share a couple more projects from this month's <a href="https://concordand9th.com/">Concord & 9th</a> release. If you're a floral fan, today is your day! The Stitched Blooms Bundle and Blooms Turnabout are sure to put a smile on your face!<br />
<br />
First up, let's take a closer look at the Stitched Blooms Bundle. I really enjoyed the fact that I could use the stamp set to add color and dimension to the stitched design. Plus, the set includes several essential sentiments that I use all the time.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49563726587/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_Concord&9th_February2020_StitchedBloomsBundle_ThankYouCard"><img alt="LizzieJones_Concord&9th_February2020_StitchedBloomsBundle_ThankYouCard" height="400" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49563726587_30f749554b_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script><br />
<br />
I began by die cutting the stitched design into a panel of white cardstock. I fussy cut the bottom edge to follow the stitching and give it a more decorative vibe. Then, I stamped and die cut several leaves and flowers from the set and adhered them over the stitched elements in the design.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49563001843/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_Concord&9th_February2020_StitchedBloomsBundle_ThankYouCard3"><img alt="LizzieJones_Concord&9th_February2020_StitchedBloomsBundle_ThankYouCard3" height="400" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49563001843_9d53a76c2a_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
I heat embossed the sentiment from the set onto dark navy cardstock for a nice pop of contrast and then attached it to the focal panel with foam tape. I wanted to give my card base a bit of subtle interest, so I stamped it with the Brushed Stripe Background (also released this month) using a tone-on-tone ink.<br />
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
Then, I adhered the focal panel with a bit more foam tape. So full of texture while still being easily mailable. I love that!<br />
<br />
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
My second card today is giving me major Spring vibes. I've always been a big, big fan of the Turnabouts and this Blooms Turnabout is no exception! I'm not usually a purple enthusiast, but I thought these sweet posies would look great in shades of purple, blue, and yellow. What do you think?<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49563502411/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_Concord&9th_February2020_BloomsTurnabout_HelloFriendCard"><img alt="LizzieJones_Concord&9th_February2020_BloomsTurnabout_HelloFriendCard" height="400" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49563502411_69e1006cf6_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
I began by stamping the flowers using all four turns and followed up with the leaves in all four turns (though only with three colors). I adhered that panel to a card base and then added a stitched strip that I had stamped with the Brushed Stripe Background (definitely a new favorite). You may notice that the stitched strip extends all the way across the card even though the label die isn't quite long enough for that. I just used some selective die cutting to lengthen the die and make it even more versatile!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49563001748/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_Concord&9th_February2020_BloomsTurnabout_HelloFriendCard2"><img alt="LizzieJones_Concord&9th_February2020_BloomsTurnabout_HelloFriendCard2" height="400" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49563001748_9d2856b8a5_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
Next, I die cut a medallion shape from both lavender cardstock and vellum. I used a circle die to cut the center of the lavender shape and layered the two. I attached that piece to the card front with foam tape and layered on a greeting die cut from the Forever Flower Infinity collection and a stamped sentiment from the Meadow Blossoms set.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49563502536/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_Concord&9th_February2020_BloomsTurnabout_HelloFriendCard3"><img alt="LizzieJones_Concord&9th_February2020_BloomsTurnabout_HelloFriendCard3" height="400" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49563502536_98ef656705_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
I tied on a piece of crochet thread to finish things off. I'm definitely going to create more of this design in a whole bouquet of colors!<br />
<br />

I am so excited to be guest designing with <a href="https://concordand9th.com/">Concord & 9th</a> this month! I've loved their designs for a while now and I am totally pumped to be joining them for their February release.<br />
<br />
To kick things off for this month, I'm sharing a card I made with their brand new Meadow Blossoms and Brushed Stripes sets. The second I saw the gorgeous Meadow Blossoms floral I knew I wanted to do some coloring. So that's exactly what I did!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49533040071/in/dateposted/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_Concord&9th_MeadowBlossoms_BrushedStripes_ThankYouCard"><img alt="LizzieJones_Concord&9th_MeadowBlossoms_BrushedStripes_ThankYouCard" height="400" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49533040071_9f4ae1cea0_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
I haven't done much no-line coloring, but these flowers seemed perfectly suited, so I started by stamping them in pale gray ink. Then I used a mix of Copics and Prismacolor pencils to add shading and depth. Sometimes when I use markers by themselves I feel like things get away from me a little bit (perhaps that just means I need more practice). I love this technique because I feel like it really gives me control over how much color is going down.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49533263782/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_Concord&9th_MeadowBlossoms_BrushedStripes_ThankYouCard3"><img alt="LizzieJones_Concord&9th_MeadowBlossoms_BrushedStripes_ThankYouCard3" height="400" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49533263782_862c287f80_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
Once my flowers were finished, I die cut them using the coordinating die and embellished the flower centers with a bit of my favorite crystal glitter. I just felt they needed a little something extra and this little touch of sparkle did the trick. I set those aside while I stamped the Brushed Stripes background onto a white panel using the same pale gray ink from before, but I reinked a few times to build up the color a bit. I used a darker gray for the sentiment from the Meadow Blossoms set.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49532541533/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_Concord&9th_MeadowBlossoms_BrushedStripes_ThankYouCard2"><img alt="LizzieJones_Concord&9th_MeadowBlossoms_BrushedStripes_ThankYouCard2" height="400" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49532541533_00bf32829a_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
I adhered my flowers to the front panel of my card and trimmed the overhang off the edges. Then, I attached that panel to a coral card base to give a pop of contrast once the card was opened. I debated adding more embellishments, but in the end decided that allowing the coloring to shine was the best option. I'm really looking forward to trying these flowers in even more colors!<br />
<br />
Thank you so much for joining me today. I'll be back for the next few Fridays with even more inspiration from this month's Concord & 9th release. In the meantime, have a wonderful weekend!<br />

Welcome to the introduction of <a href="https://blog.thegreetery.com/2020/02/13/introducing-the-lily-palm-mini-release/">The Greetery's Lily & Palm Mini Release</a>. <b><i>All of the new products I'm showcasing today will be available tomorrow, February 14th at 10am</i></b>. If you make Easter or spiritual cards (prayers/religious sympathy) this release is going to be right up your alley. The products Betsy has designed are all so elegant and lovely. Let's get to it!<br />
<br />
First up, I have a card featuring the new Easter Jubilee Creative Kit. This fabulous mini kit is packed with stencils, dies, and stamps that will make it a snap to make Easter cards with floral charm.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49528676111/in/dateposted/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_February2020_GatheringsEasterJubilee_EasterGreetingsCard"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_February2020_GatheringsEasterJubilee_EasterGreetingsCard" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49528676111_67a6902235_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
I began by using the stencil set to create the base for my design. I wanted to incorporate a couple different colors of tulips, so I used a smaller blending brush to single out the individual blooms. Then I used the coordinating stamps to add details to the leaves and flowers.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49528166088/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_February2020_GatheringsEasterJubilee_EasterGreetingsCard3"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_February2020_GatheringsEasterJubilee_EasterGreetingsCard3" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49528166088_f6541b557e_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
Next, I die cut the "Easter" letters out of the center area and added the pierced oval to highlight the central design. Rather than use the letter die cuts, I backed the whole panel with adhesive paper and sprinkled glitter through the negative spaces. The result is beautifully sparkly!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49528676196/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_February2020_GatheringsEasterJubilee_EasterGreetingsCard2"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_February2020_GatheringsEasterJubilee_EasterGreetingsCard2" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49528676196_8799b5703c_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
To finish the card, I heat embossed one of the sentiments from the set onto a mini banner and attached it to the card with foam tape. I also adhered my front panel to a contrasting, colorful card base to add a bit of interest. It's a very simple design, but all of the little details make it special.<br />
<br />
Next up, I have a card made with the new Caring Cross stamp set. I chose to make this an Easter card, but the stamp set includes several sentiments that would make it a wonderful choice for year-round crafting.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49528676491/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_February2020_CaringCross_HeIsRisenCard"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_February2020_CaringCross_HeIsRisenCard" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49528676491_220256e53f_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
I began by stamping and die cutting the cross and palms. I used the cross pieces die to cut a second cross from champagne shimmer stock and layered those onto the first die cut, allowing the palms to peek through.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49528166368/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_February2020_CaringCross_HeIsRisenCard3"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_February2020_CaringCross_HeIsRisenCard3" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49528166368_3c578bc9dc_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
Next, I sponged a bit of pale blue ink onto a card panel and added speckles. I stamped the sentiment and then stitched a strip of cardstock (stamped with the individual palm branch) along the bottom edge of the panel. I adhered that panel to a card base and then added the cross with foam tape.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49528902247/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_February2020_CaringCross_HeIsRisenCard2"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_February2020_CaringCross_HeIsRisenCard2" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49528902247_e3c9933053_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
I thought the palms still needed something, so I went back with a glue pen and embellished the berries with crystal glitter. It's subtle, but the hint of shimmering glitter adds an exceptional touch without taking away from the message.<br />
<br />
And lastly today, I have a card showcasing the new Botanicuts Lily, Botanicuts Palm, and Let's Have A Word: Happy dies. The lilies are so striking and really command attention on a card. And just think of how many different kinds of lilies you can create with these! I went with Easter lilies (because Easter), but there are daylilies, Stargazer lilies, Tiger lilies...the options are endless!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49528676311/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_February2020_BotanicutsLily_BotanicutsPalm_HappyEasterCard"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_February2020_BotanicutsLily_BotanicutsPalm_HappyEasterCard" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49528676311_a717a9dea0_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
I die cut my flowers first and used a fine point blender brush to add a hint of color. I also embellished the stamens on the lilies with crystal glitter to zhoosh them a bit. Next, I die cut a Halfsies shape and sponged it with the same ink (albeit a bit more heavily). I stamped that with the recently released Windowpane Plaid Background and set all of those pieces aside.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49528166153/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_February2020_BotanicutsLily_BotanicutsPalm_HappyEasterCard2"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_February2020_BotanicutsLily_BotanicutsPalm_HappyEasterCard2" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49528166153_9b2d06d9d6_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
Next, I sponged a bit of Aqua ink onto a card base and splattered it with clean water to get a subtle speckled look. Once it was dry, I attached my plaid Halfsies panel and arranged my Botanicuts Lily and Botanicuts Palm pieces.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49528166183/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_February2020_BotanicutsLily_BotanicutsPalm_HappyEasterCard3"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_February2020_BotanicutsLily_BotanicutsPalm_HappyEasterCard3" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49528166183_2360c0ee76_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
To add a sentiment, I cut the Let's Have A Word: Happy shape from white cardstock and then smooshed the die cut into a Versamark pad. I used Perfect Pearls to give the sticky surface a shimmery finish. I attached that to the card front and added the companion sentiment on a Sentiment Suite Basics die cut. This card has so much dimension thanks to those gorgeous lilies!<br />

Thank you so much for your kind comments yesterday! We're very happy and excited and it's very sweet of all of you to join in our happiness.<br />
<br />
Now let's get to something else that makes me very happy...the new release from <a href="https://blog.thegreetery.com/2020/01/16/love-letters-collection-day-2-coming-up-roses/">The Greetery</a>! I have a few more projects to share today featuring this month's Love Letters collection. Let's jump right in!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49391944848/in/dateposted/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_January2020_SketchbookRosesProjects"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_January2020_SketchbookRosesProjects" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49391944848_a2f796c8c5_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
These first two projects show a couple of ways to use the new Sketchbook Roses stamp set. It's gorgeous as a monochromatic background, as a colorful focal point, or even colored with your favorite medium.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49391944743/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_January2020_SketchbookRoses_HelloBeautifulCard"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_January2020_SketchbookRoses_HelloBeautifulCard" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49391944743_7e4f5ba8f0_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
For this first card, I began by first stamping onto Kraft cardstock with Kraft ink. I used the layering stamps to add color to the blooms and leaves before heat embossing over the original Kraft stamping with white powder. The result reminds me of vintage textiles and I love it!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49392417681/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_January2020_SketchbookRoses_HelloBeautifulCard2"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_January2020_SketchbookRoses_HelloBeautifulCard2" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49392417681_24378e95f0_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
Next, I die cut a vellum layer using the new Postal Frames die. I heat embossed it with part of a sentiment from the Sketchbook Roses and finished with a die cut sentiment, the new Let's Have A Word: Beautiful.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49392620257/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_January2020_SketchbookRoses_HelloBeautifulCard3"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_January2020_SketchbookRoses_HelloBeautifulCard3" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49392620257_50a52db6d6_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
I kept things simple by adhering the vellum layer over the floral card base, hiding the adhesive under the die cut greeting. I'm totally digging all of those pops of crisp white against the earthy Kraft.<br />
<br />
On my second project, I used the Sketchbook Roses set to create an elegant monochromatic background.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49392417876/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_January2020_SketchbookRoses_BotanicutsRoses_FeltRoseHeadband"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_January2020_SketchbookRoses_BotanicutsRoses_FeltRoseHeadband" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49392417876_f00c3f39b9_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
I actually started this project by using the BotaniCuts Rose to create a pretty felt headband. I cut the pieces and layered them according to the layering guide that Betsy put together. The floral parts, I kept as one layer, but I doubled up the leaves to make them a little more stable. I hot glued everything to an elastic band and layered a basic circle on the back to hide all of the unfinished edges.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49392417941/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_January2020_SketchbookRoses_BotanicutsRoses_FeltRoseHeadband2"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_January2020_SketchbookRoses_BotanicutsRoses_FeltRoseHeadband2" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49392417941_710bce6251_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
To create the card, I die cut the largest Postal Frames shape from a piece of aqua cardstock as well as a piece of thick tag stock (for stability). I stamped the aqua layer with the floral background and attached it to the thicker layer. Then, I added a sentiment from the Written In Ribbons set along with a small companion sentiment from the new Sentiment Suite: Love set. Then, I just wrapped the headband around it a couple of times for gift giving. Easy and cute packaging!<br />
<br />
Lastly today, I have another card featuring Written In Ribbons and Sentiment Suite: Love.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49392418001/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_January2020_WrittenInRibbons_SentimentSuiteLove_HelloCard"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_January2020_WrittenInRibbons_SentimentSuiteLove_HelloCard" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49392418001_ddb7293163_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
Written In Ribbons might be one of my favorite sentiment sets in a long time. The size of the greetings is super generous, making them wonderful focal points. Plus, the optional two-tone effect adds such a lovely, unique detail (you can stamp the sentiments without them if that's your preference on a particular project).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49392418061/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_January2020_WrittenInRibbons_SentimentSuiteLove_HelloCard2"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_January2020_WrittenInRibbons_SentimentSuiteLove_HelloCard2" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49392418061_5e86c9d46d_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
For this card, I created a frame using the Postal Frames and an oval die cut. I stamped the frame with the Windowpane Plaid Background. Next, I sponged a background onto a white card base and adhered the frame in place with foam tape.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49391945168/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_January2020_WrittenInRibbons_SentimentSuiteLove_HelloCard3"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_January2020_WrittenInRibbons_SentimentSuiteLove_HelloCard3" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49391945168_ff8fde7397_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
Next, I stamped the Written In Ribbons sentiment and heat embossed the Sentiment Suite greeting onto a strip of yellow cardstock. I also stamped a handful of flowers and foliage from the Signed & Sealed With A Kiss set. I tucked the greenery under the frame and then adhered the sentiment in place. A few clear sequins finished things off nicely.<br />
<br />
That's all I have to share with you today. I hope you've enjoyed my projects this month!<br />

I know it's been a little bit quiet around here lately, but I have a good reason. Did you see our announcement? If not, you can see it <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/B6jrs_Ap3kq/">here</a>. Spoiler alert: baby (gender unknown), coming in April (or March, because who knows, but hopefully April)! So, it may stay a little quiet for a bit, but I'll try to check in as much as possible.<br />
<br />
In the meantime, today is the first day of <a href="https://blog.thegreetery.com/2020/01/08/love-letters-collection-day-1:-pretty-&-postal/">The Greetery's</a> January release! There are so many beautiful things heading your way, friends. Truly. I have a few projects to share with you today to give you a sneak peek at what's to come. Let's get to it!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49387195823/in/dateposted/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_January2020_PrettyPostmarks_Signed&SealedWithAKiss_ValentineTags"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_January2020_PrettyPostmarks_Signed&SealedWithAKiss_ValentineTags" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49387195823_7fc40bee65_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
You all know how much I love a good tag, right? So I had a blast creating these Valentine's Day tags with the new Postal Frames Die and the Signed & Sealed collection.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49387673571/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_January2020_PrettyPostmarks_Signed&SealedWithAKiss_ValentineTags2"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_January2020_PrettyPostmarks_Signed&SealedWithAKiss_ValentineTags2" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49387673571_eb2d02b5e3_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
I began by die cutting the Postal Frames Shapes and stamping the watermarked backgrounds on each. The Pretty Postmarks script and Windowpane Plaid Background added perfect, subtle texture to the backdrop of each tag. Then, I heat embossed the tags with a sentiment from the Signed & Sealed With A Kiss set.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49387867407/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_January2020_PrettyPostmarks_Signed&SealedWithAKiss_ValentineTags3"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_January2020_PrettyPostmarks_Signed&SealedWithAKiss_ValentineTags3" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49387867407_32aeba2421_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
I used the envelopes and mini framed sentiments from the Signed & Sealed set as the focal point on the tags. I added a bit of sponging to the envelope liners to give them some depth before tucking the mini framed piece into the envelopes (I left them loose so they can be pulled out for a little interactive element).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49387196033/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_January2020_PrettyPostmarks_Signed&SealedWithAKiss_ValentineTags4"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_January2020_PrettyPostmarks_Signed&SealedWithAKiss_ValentineTags4" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49387196033_15f70fdddf_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
I used images from the Signed & Sealed With A Kiss and Pretty Postmarks sets to embellish each envelope. Keeping the layout the same on each tag helps streamline the process, while using different images and colors keeps them each unique and special.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49387867547/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_January2020_PrettyPostmarks_Signed&SealedWithAKiss_ValentineTags5"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_January2020_PrettyPostmarks_Signed&SealedWithAKiss_ValentineTags5" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49387867547_3339b8667d_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
There are some kiddos in our lives that are sure to see these pretty little tags tied to a treat come Valentine's Day!<br />
<br />
Next up, I've used that same sweet envelope from Signed & Sealed with the gorgeous florals in Signed & Sealed With A Kiss to create a delicate wedding card.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49387195603/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_January2020_Signed&SealedWithAKiss_OnYourWeddingDayCard"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_January2020_Signed&SealedWithAKiss_OnYourWeddingDayCard" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49387195603_bb82ef55c9_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
I stamped and die cut the envelope and added the liner by painting directly onto the liner stamp with copper metallic watercolor. I tucked the foliage from the Signed & Sealed With A Kiss into the envelope (the handy, die-cut slit makes this a snap) and secured the stems on the back. I set that aside for a moment.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49387673416/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_January2020_Signed&SealedWithAKiss_OnYourWeddingDayCard2"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_January2020_Signed&SealedWithAKiss_OnYourWeddingDayCard2" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49387673416_7d7411e69f_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
Then, I used the same watercolor technique on the frame. I love how it adds a soft, organic feel to the image. Once die cut, I stamped the sentiment from the Signed & Sealed With A Kiss set.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49387867252/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_January2020_Signed&SealedWithAKiss_OnYourWeddingDayCard3"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_January2020_Signed&SealedWithAKiss_OnYourWeddingDayCard3" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49387867252_74cb0591fe_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
Next, I sponged a bit of aqua ink onto a white panel and splattered it with more of the copper watercolor. I am totally smitten with the mix of copper and pink! After it had dried, I attached that panel to a pink card base and tied it with a bit of crochet thread. All that was left to do was attach the envelope and sentiment with foam tape. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>Good morning, friends, and welcome to this week's Festive Friday! We're getting down to the wire now, folks! There is only one Festive Friday after this week. So today I have a couple of pairs of tags to share with you today (full disclosure: there were three of each, but a poorly placed baby wipe killed one of each. Boo!) Since there were only two survivors of each of these styles, I decided to share both today.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49213637301/in/dateposted/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_ShapedShakerTags_StampedRibbonTags"><img alt="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_ShapedShakerTags_StampedRibbonTags" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49213637301_b2ece968f1_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
First up, I have some shaped shaker tags I made with the Hard Candy Christmas set from Ellen Hutson.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49213870552/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_ShapedShakerTags"><img alt="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_ShapedShakerTags" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49213870552_7988b25d27_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
These may look complicated, but they're actually pretty simple. I stamped and die cut the front jar and backed it with a clear cardstock die cut before setting it aside. Then, I die cut folded cardstock so that the shape formed a tent. On the inside I stamped my "to:" and "from:" (I forgot to photograph the insides, but I used the same set as on the other tags from today).<br />
<br />
On the outside of the tented bit, I stamped the peppermint from Hard Candy Christmas multiple times. I just did some very simple masking to keep them from overlapping. Then, I assembled my shaker using foam tape, chunky crystal glitter, and a few snowflake sequins. I topped the jar with a banner die cut stamped with a greeting from the same set.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49213870647/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_StampedRibbonTags"><img alt="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_StampedRibbonTags" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49213870647_be89e95845_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
The other tags are ridiculously easy, but I love how clean and simple they are. I die cut the tags from white cardstock and then stamped them with the ribbon stripes from Gift Card Cozy Sentiments (a set I designed a couple of years ago). I added the "to:" and "from:" from the same set.<br />
<br />
Then, I stamped and die cut the bows and attached them with foam tape. I embellished each bow with a faux nailhead to look like the knot of the bow. It's a small thing, but it adds just enough shine to make it pop. A little crochet thread for tying and these were done.<br />
<br />
Well, that's all for today! I hope you've enjoyed this week's Festive Friday post. I'll see you back here again next week for a final installment! Have a great weekend!<br />
<br />
<i>And if you've missed it, I have a post over on <a href="https://blog.thegreetery.com/2019/12/13/tgif-knit-wits-thank-yous-by-lizzie/">The Greetery's blog</a> today, so be sure to check that out too!</i><br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>Good morning, friends! Welcome to Festive Friday! It's hard to believe, but there are only two more Festive Fridays after this one. Christmas is coming at us fast! Today's tags are a nice, quick option for dressing up your seasonal packages though, so have no fear! Let's get to it!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49176438616/in/dateposted/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_PlaidMonogramTags"><img alt="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_PlaidMonogramTags" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49176438616_90065a0d9b_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
I love a good monogram and gift tags are the perfect opportunity to use them (assuming you don't have several of the same initial in the family). I chose three from our list. I don't bother with the "to:" and "from:" on monogram tags because the "to:" is taken care of with the recipient's initial and they can usually guess the "from:" based on the handmade tag. But you could always add those bits of info on the back or on a second layer if you felt the need.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49176653732/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_PlaidMonogramTags2"><img alt="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_PlaidMonogramTags2" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49176653732_8d947776c5_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
For these tags, I die cut the tags from one of Betsy's Make It Market Mini Kits from a while back. Then, I stamped them with the Jumbo Plaid background from The Stamp Market. I used the Skinny Upper Alpha die (also from The Stamp Market) to cut the monograms.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49175949503/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_PlaidMonogramTags3"><img alt="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_PlaidMonogramTags3" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49175949503_9344ea1e82_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
Then, I stamped a variety of foliage from The Stamp Market's Festive Floral set to use to decorate the tags. I die cut a handful of each piece and then assembled a few at a time on the tags. That means I have more pieces on hand to create additional tags. Bonus! I finished these off with simple white crochet thread for a clean, classic look.<br />
<br />
By the way, I chose to go for monograms that didn't have a "floating middle" to worry about (like A or D or O), but you could still use those letters easily by adding a second layer to your tags. You could even do the pattern on the back so the letter was patterned rather than solid for a whole new look.<br />
<br />
I hope you've enjoyed today's tag trio! I hope to see you back again next week for our second-to-last Festive Friday of the season! Have a wonderful weekend!<br />

<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/31057245368/in/photolist-Pjqv2J" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="Festive Friday Banner"><img alt="Festive Friday Banner" height="135" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/1934/31057245368_41b711e18d_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>Hello, friends! Thank you for your patience with this week's post. Sometimes the schedule just fills faster that we expect, know what I mean? Well, I hope today's project is worth the wait!<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Last year <a href="https://writeyourmom.blogspot.com/2018/11/festive-friday-glittered-bow-tags.html">these glittered bow tags</a> were some of my favorites that I did the entire series. So I thought it would be fun to recreate something similar with new product from The Greetery. I totally love the Fit To Be Tied die and I just knew it would make lovely statement tags. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<i>Quick tip: Often I just go for whatever colors appeal to me in the moment, but for these I looked at my wrapping paper collection and chose colors that I thought would coordinate nicely with a couple of the papers I have on hand. It's fun to wing it, but sometimes these things are more useful with a few extra minutes of planning.</i></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49148223537/in/dateposted/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_GiftBowTags"><img alt="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_GiftBowTags" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49148223537_1cd525b580_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
<br />
<div>
I cut the bows (two of the solid parts, one of the detail xyroned on both sides) and set them aside. Then, I die cut the long, scalloped die from the Speed Tagging set. You could use more than one shape to do these tags in order to get a quicker result, but I just cut smaller pieces of white cardstock and die cut only the area I needed for the tags I wanted.<br />
<br /></div>
<div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49148016421/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_GiftBowTags3"><img alt="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_GiftBowTags3" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49148016421_f9fab7675f_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
</div>
<div>
I splattered three of the tags with silver watercolor and stamped the sentiment when the paint was dry (it just took a few minutes since the speckles were so small). On the other three, I added the "to:" and "from:" in ink colors that would coordinate with the bows on the front of the tags. I adhered the tags together. Then, I tied each one with baker's twine and set them aside.<br />
<br /></div>
<div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49148223607/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_GiftBowTags2"><img alt="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_GiftBowTags2" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49148223607_2d4b843409_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
<br />
<div>
Next, I attached the bow detail pieces to their respective solid counterparts and removed the Xyron backing to expose the adhesive underneath. I sprinkled each bow with a matching glitter and burnished it into the adhesive to make sure there was as little transfer as possible later on. I curved the bows a bit with my fingertips and attached them to the additional solid bows with foam tape. The second bow just gives a bit of depth. I adhered the fully assembled bows to the tags and voila!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I love this style and I'm sure I'll be doing it again in the future! Thank you so much for joining me this week. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!</div>

Good morning, friends! I just wanted to pop in and give you a heads up that this week's Festive Friday will be a little delayed. This week has been so full of fun and family that I completely neglected crafty time. I'll have my Festive Friday post up for you tomorrow morning. So while I apologize for the delay, I felt prioritizing those closest to me was the right way to go. Thank you for understanding and I'll see you tomorrow!Lizzie Joneshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14904520755289633145noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1592716787967163045.post-49603300472042261042019-11-22T10:58:00.002-05:002019-11-22T10:58:37.502-05:00Festive Friday - Gable Box & Tag Team Tag Ensemble<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I loved the Modern Holly Layered Stencil from the moment I saw it, so when I saw that Heather also had a tag kit coming out I knew it was time to place an order! It looks like Heather's kit might be sold out (yay, Heather!), but you could still get a similar look (if not the same silly sentiments) with something you happen to have on hand.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49105289516/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_GableBox_TagTeamKitEnsemble2"><img alt="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_GableBox_TagTeamKitEnsemble2" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49105289516_095065da06_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>

I used the stencil to decorate a gable box that I cut from white cardstock. I'm totally smitten with that pattern, aren't you?! Then, I cut tags from Cherry Kisses and Leafy cardstocks and stamped them with greetings from Heather's set. I made the tags double-sided with one side being white and the other being colorful for a nice contrast.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49104781628/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_GableBox_TagTeamKitEnsemble3"><img alt="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_GableBox_TagTeamKitEnsemble3" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49104781628_e5ca1abedb_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
<div>
Heather's kit came with candy cane striped twine, but it wasn't exactly the right tone of red to go with the Cherry Kisses, so I used some red and green twines I happened to have on hand. I also discovered while playing around with the gable box that it's the perfect size for the round Heirloom Ornaments I designed last year, too, so now I have another option for gifting those. Bonus!</div>

Today is the second introduction day for the new products coming your way from The Greetery. Day 2 is just as exciting as Day 1, so hold on to your hats!<br />
<br />
If you were a fan of the previously released seasonal Sketches sets, the Winter Sketches set is sure to be a joy! These pine boughs are totally gorgeous and they make for quite a striking focal point.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49098396022/in/dateposted/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_November2019_WinterSketches_MerryChristmasCard"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_November2019_WinterSketches_MerryChristmasCard" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49098396022_32779de449_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
I began by die cutting a Nordic Frames shape and trimming it at an angle to create a decorative panel. I stamped the sentiment from last month's Tree Trimmings stamp set. Then, I backed the panel with red cardstock to add a little contrast behind the die cut openings.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49097690548/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_November2019_WinterSketches_MerryChristmasCard3"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_November2019_WinterSketches_MerryChristmasCard3" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49097690548_4f80ca2cbe_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
Next, I sponged a white card base with Slumber ink to give a little atmosphere and attached the decorative sentiment panel with foam tape. Then, I tucked three of the Winter Sketches branches below the sentiment panel, giving a nice, full appearance.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49098201381/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_November2019_WinterSketches_MerryChristmasCard2"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_November2019_WinterSketches_MerryChristmasCard2" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49098201381_2e773e5195_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
A few clear sequins were the perfect embellishment for adding a little shimmer and texture without introducing another color. The result is a frosty holiday card pulled right from nature.<br />
<br />
Next up, I have a card made pairing the new Budding Beauties stamp set with the new Fit To Be Tied die.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49097690733/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_November2019_BuddingBeauties_FitToBeTiedDie_Light&LoveCard"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_November2019_BuddingBeauties_FitToBeTiedDie_Light&LoveCard" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49097690733_b7854e8ef3_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
I wanted to use the mistletoe image to create a "kissing ball" on my card. Since the mistletoe berries are white in real life, I decided to stamp on Kraft cardstock. But quite honestly, these images would look lovely with a little creative license applied so go forth and create pink, red, yellow, whatever-color-your-heart-desires berries instead.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49098201801/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_November2019_BuddingBeauties_FitToBeTiedDie_Light&LoveCard2"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_November2019_BuddingBeauties_FitToBeTiedDie_Light&LoveCard2" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49098201801_c61795b5a9_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
I sponged and sprinkled a bit of white ink onto a Nordic Frames shape and then heat embossed my sentiment before stamping one of the mistletoe images. I stamped and die cut two additional mistletoe sprigs and attached them to the panel before adhering that whole piece to a Kraft card base with foam tape.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49098202141/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_November2019_BuddingBeauties_FitToBeTiedDie_Light&LoveCard3"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_November2019_BuddingBeauties_FitToBeTiedDie_Light&LoveCard3" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49098202141_0d929c3a31_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
No kissing ball is complete without a bright red bow, so I used the new Fit To Be Tied die to finish things off in festive fashion. I layered two of the solid bows with foam tape and topped things off with a glittered bow detail. I couldn't be more tickled! Maybe I'll just hang this card in a doorway instead of getting the real thing!<br />
<br />
Last up, I have a winter card pairing that same Fit To Be Tied bow with the Botanicuts Pine Bough. I wanted to use the same bow to show how it can be used through the seasons for more than just holiday projects.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49097691193/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_November2019_BotaniCutsPineBough_FitToBeTiedDie_JustANoteCard"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_November2019_BotaniCutsPineBough_FitToBeTiedDie_JustANoteCard" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49097691193_82cb04e6df_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
I began by die cutting the Botanicuts pieces and sponging them with Spruce and Gathered Twigs inks for a bit of depth. I used the Copic Opaque White Pigment on the pinecone pieces to give them a slightly snowy appearance and assembled the pinecone.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49098202216/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_November2019_BotaniCutsPineBough_FitToBeTiedDie_JustANoteCard2"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_November2019_BotaniCutsPineBough_FitToBeTiedDie_JustANoteCard2" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49098202216_7e131c529d_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
I stamped the sentiment from Pine Blossom onto a Nordic Frames shape and attached it to a Kraft card base that I had stenciled with the Knit Wits pattern. Then, I attached the pine boughs and pinecone.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49098396902/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_November2019_BotaniCutsPineBough_FitToBeTiedDie_JustANoteCard3"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_November2019_BotaniCutsPineBough_FitToBeTiedDie_JustANoteCard3" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49098396902_796ecd401d_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
Next, I die cut the bow. This time, I just used one solid bow along with the detail die. And instead of glitter, I used sponging to give the detail die contrast. Those simple changes take the bow from an over-the-top-sparkling-holiday embellishment to everyday adornment. Don't you love a die that can do double duty?!<br />
<br />
Well, that's it for my projects for the mini release from The Greetery. Thank you so much for joining me! Make sure to pop in on these lovely ladies to see more of what this month's release has to offer:<br />

Now, a few quick thoughts about the Pinkfresh inks. In short, I really like them. They stamped crisply and cleanly, gave great coverage, and the inks in each color family work really well together. Not all of the inks cleaned off of my stamps easily, but that's something I expect from most inks these days regardless of brand (especially the reds and pinks). Using a stamp cleaner solution (like Ultra Clean) helps minimize staining. One thing I wasn't hugely fond of is the ease of use of the cubes, but that's not specific to the Pinkfresh inks. Some lids were really tight and I had a hard time getting a handful of them open. Inevitably, I lost my grip on a couple of them and they went flying. Luckily, no projects were harmed. Again, this is not a Pinkfresh issue. I'm sure there are some colors that I will gravitate to more often and I will probably order those colors in full pad sizes at some point. I would have no hesitation suggesting trying out these inks if you have a gap in your collection that you haven't been able to fill. It may seem crazy considering they just released 48 colors, but I, for one, would really love to see a family of more yellow-y greens. These inks are going to make layering stamps even easier and more fun to use.<br />
<br />
Thanks again for joining me for The Greetery's mini release. <b>All of the new products will be available on <a href="https://thegreetery.com/">The Greetery's website</a> at 10am ET tomorrow, November 22nd</b>. Today I'm excited to share a batch of beautiful new goodies from <a href="https://blog.thegreetery.com/2019/11/20/winters-in-bloom-with-pretty-new-products">The Greetery</a>. This month's release is a mini collection, but that doesn't mean it's lacking in fabulousness - not at all! You're going to love the crafty goodness coming your way!<br />
<br />
One of the sets releasing this month is called Pine Blossom and it is absolutely gorgeous! And maybe my favorite part is that the foliage can look like pine boughs <i>or</i> cosmos foliage, so you can use it any time of year! I tried out several different color variations while playing with this set and I'm totally going to use these stamps well into spring and beyond!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49093426681/in/dateposted/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_November2019_PineBlossom_NordicFrames_SendingMyThanksCard"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_November2019_PineBlossom_NordicFrames_SendingMyThanksCard" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49093426681_0e9bf96320_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
I also used a new set of die cut frames coming this month called Nordic Frames on this sweet thank you card. I began by die cutting the center panel from a card front. Then, I clear embossed a woodgrain pattern on the outer frame. The result is super subtle, but the texture is lovely. I attached that to a mint-colored card base and set it aside.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49093625962/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_November2019_PineBlossom_NordicFrames_SendingMyThanksCard2"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_November2019_PineBlossom_NordicFrames_SendingMyThanksCard2" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49093625962_cc4597b0b6_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Next, I stamped the sentiment from Pine Blossom onto the Nordic Frame and adhered it to the card base with foam tape. I love that the color of the card base peeks out from the tiny diamond negative cuts on the frame.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49093426786/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_November2019_PineBlossom_NordicFrames_SendingMyThanksCard3"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_November2019_PineBlossom_NordicFrames_SendingMyThanksCard3" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49093426786_62ea8ec891_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
Then, I stamped and assembled my floral swath. I used the large bouquet to built the majority of the design and then used the smaller sprigs and individual flowers in the set to add fullness and shape. I also embellished the tiny flowers with small spots of clear glitter for sparkle. Betsy's design makes it so easy to create something quick and easy or more involved, depending on what you need in the moment. It's so handy!<br />
<br />
My second card uses the new Berry Branch Stencil and Inside & Out Berry Branch Die. The Inside & Out die is super clever! In one pass you are able to die cut several leafy and berry branches along with a beautifully delicate outline shape. I've used the solid parts on my card and the outline on my final project below.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49093426836/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_November2019_Inside&OutBerryBranch_NordicFrames_ScandinavianChristmasCard"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_November2019_Inside&OutBerryBranch_NordicFrames_ScandinavianChristmasCard" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49093426836_d0df58f215_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
For this card, I wanted to create a Christmas card with a Scandinavian vibe, so I went with a frosty blue and silver scheme with a bold pop of red. I really think it fits the bill! I began by blending Slumber ink through the new Berry Branch stencil. I've always been fond of a botanical background and this one is no exception. It's super versatile and I can see it being useful year round depending on the color palette.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49093426896/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_November2019_Inside&OutBerryBranch_NordicFrames_ScandinavianChristmasCard2"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_November2019_Inside&OutBerryBranch_NordicFrames_ScandinavianChristmasCard2" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49093426896_9e0ee2f44f_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
Next, I used the middle Nordic Frames shape to impress a design into the blue panel. I embellished the top and bottom of that panel with strips of bold red cardstock and adhered the whole shebang to a crisp white card base. Then, I die cut the smallest Nordic Frames shape and stamped it with a sentiment from Pine Blossom.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49093426936/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_November2019_Inside&OutBerryBranch_NordicFrames_ScandinavianChristmasCard3"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_November2019_Inside&OutBerryBranch_NordicFrames_ScandinavianChristmasCard3" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49093426936_6409bc139e_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
I trimmed off one side of the sentiment panel and mounted it to the card front with foam tape. Then, I used silver and vellum leafy branches to embellish the sentiment. They add dimension without packing on loads of volume, making the card easy to mail. I always appreciate an easy-to-mail option!<br />
<br />
Last up, I have a handful of tags to share. You remember that totally ingenious Speed Tagging collection that came out last month? Well, prepare to be thrilled! Betsy is releasing Speed Tagging Prints paper to make your holiday tags even easier! Each pack includes two pages each of three separate patterns so you have tons of beautiful designs from which to choose.<br />
<br />
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
I die cut one of each of the sheets and picked a handful to embellish with some quick stamping and die cuts.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49093626562/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_November2019_Inside&OutBerryBranch_SpeedTaggingPrintsPaper_Tags"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_November2019_Inside&OutBerryBranch_SpeedTaggingPrintsPaper_Tags" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49093626562_68b1eb4aec_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
I loved this dark, floral tag, but I didn't want to have to bother with heat embossing, so I simply stamped my "To:" and "From:" on die cut banners and added them to the tag with foam tape (if you're going to do something like this, I suggest dimensional adhesive that will give you full coverage to make writing later easier).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49093427346/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_November2019_Inside&OutBerryBranch_SpeedTaggingPrintsPaper_Tags2"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_November2019_Inside&OutBerryBranch_SpeedTaggingPrintsPaper_Tags2" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49093427346_54a6afd683_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I wanted to amp up the botanical angle, so I took an Inside & Out Berry Branch die cut and tied it to the back of the tag with my crochet thread. Not using any adhesive allows the branch to move freely as the tag moves on my package.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49092915363/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_November2019_Inside&OutBerryBranch_SpeedTaggingPrintsPaper_Tags3"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_November2019_Inside&OutBerryBranch_SpeedTaggingPrintsPaper_Tags3" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49092915363_d3fa286419_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
I used the Speed Tagging Christmas Sentiments set to add messages to the rest of my stamped tags. These patterned papers and that sentiment set together are a recipe for success when it comes to those last-minute tags. I'm super grateful to have them in my arsenal this holiday season!<br />
<br />
One other quick note about my projects in the next couple of days: I was super fortunate to win a full set of the new Pinkfresh ink cubes recently. I've had several people ask about them and whether I like them, so I decided to dedicate this release to getting to know these inks. I used them almost exclusively on my projects (the only exceptions were specialty inks like Versamark and white pigment). I'll make sure to share my thoughts at the end of tomorrow's post.<br />
<br />
Thank you so much for joining me today! Make sure to pop in on these lovely ladies to see how they're using this month's mini release to celebrate winter and I'll see you back here again tomorrow!<br />

<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>Hello, friends! It's Festive Friday and I am in a holiday mood! The temperatures this week have been absolutely arctic and it's making me itch to put up my trees. Oh, yes, there are multiple. But I've always promised to keep my Christmas decorations to a minimum until after Thanksgiving, so it will wait for now. Soon though. Soon...<br />

This week I'm sharing a set of pocket tags that I made with Concord & 9th's <a href="https://ldli.co/e/n7q664">Holiday Cheer Tags bundle</a>. I'd been eying this bundle for a while and I'm so glad I finally decided to take the leap and buy it during a recent sale! I know this die in particular is going to get plenty of use in the coming month and beyond!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49068899163/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_GlitteredPocketTags2"><img alt="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_GlitteredPocketTags2" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49068899163_42ff9fa452_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
Each of these little guys is a tag inside a pocket. This way, I can tape the pocket to my gift and the tag can easily be removed to see who the lucky recipient is for the package.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49068899308/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_GlitteredPocketTags4"><img alt="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_GlitteredPocketTags4" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49068899308_766f34744f_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
For each one, I die cut the pocket and then die cut the negative or shape out of the front. Then, I used sticker paper to make the open areas tacky (for the tree, I gently lifted the branches before attaching the sticker paper to make things a little easier). Then, I sprinkled crystal glitter over the exposed adhesive to make the open spaces sparkle!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49069420181/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_GlitteredPocketTags3"><img alt="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_GlitteredPocketTags3" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49069420181_fc5dd22211_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
To get the pattern on the ornament, I simply stamped on the sticky side of the label paper before attaching it to the pocket. The glitter kept any wet ink from smudging. I went ahead and adorned the tree and ornament with extra bits of metallic gold paper and then tied each tag with baker's twine. These were fun, easy, and they're going to look so fun and festive on my gifts!<br />
<br />
Thank you so much for joining me today! I hope you've enjoyed this week's Festive Friday! Have a wonderful, crafty weekend!<br />

Hello, friends, and welcome back to another Festive Friday! We're getting closer to the holiday season every week and I for one cannot wait! I'm particularly ready for ornaments and jingle bells and iced sugar cookies this year. Anyone else?<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49033579128/in/dateposted/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_GiftCardHolderTrio"><img alt="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_GiftCardHolderTrio" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49033579128_8b5910c1e5_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
I have a set of three gift card holders to share today. They don't match, but they do coordinate thanks to the Holiday Greetings and Leaves & Berries Background sets from Simon Says Stamp. These came together quickly, but they still look lovely which is what I'm usually going for this time of year.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49034079291/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_GiftCardHolderTrio2"><img alt="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_GiftCardHolderTrio2" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49034079291_7ab767ed0f_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
For the first gift card holder, I gold embossed the leafy "Merry" image from the sentiment set onto a white Gift Card Cozy. I very simply colored the leaves and berries with Zig markers and embellished the berries with Garnet glitter. Simple, but the end result is sophisticated.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49034301057/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_GiftCardHolderTrio3"><img alt="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_GiftCardHolderTrio3" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49034301057_30a6348071_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
The second gift card holder is even simpler. I began by die cutting my Gift Card Cozy shape and then masked off everything except the front panel with post-it notes. I stamped the Leaves & Berries Background in Rockin' Red on the red cardstock to give a subtle tone-on-tone appearance. Then, I just heat embossed the sentiment from the Holiday Greetings set using gold powder. I love how the greeting pops with that gold embossing!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/49033579343/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_GiftCardHolderTrio4"><img alt="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_GiftCardHolderTrio4" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49033579343_5bd511159f_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
The third gift card holder is just as easy. I began by embossing the sentiment using gold powder. Then, I stamped the snowflakes (also from the sentiment set) using Versamark. While the ink was still sticky, I sprinkled it with Pearl Perfect Pearls. The powder sticks to the ink and gives the snowflakes a shimmer without the texture of embossing powder. I really love that subtle sparkle!<br />
<br />
Thank you so much for joining me today! I hope you're enjoying getting crafty as the weather turns chilly. Have a wonderful weekend!<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>Welcome to November, Friends! It's the first Festive Friday of a brand new month and we're inching closer to the holiday season.<br />
<br />
Today, I wanted to bring in the big guy himself to decorate a set of tags. I saw the Holiday Characters set from Ellen Hutson a couple of months back and I was immediately smitten. That Santa just has such a sweet face, I couldn't wait to bring him home!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/48993623948/in/dateposted/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_NaughtyOrNiceTags"><img alt="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_NaughtyOrNiceTags" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48993623948_f33fcdcd36_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
I began by stamping, coloring, and cutting out the Santas. Then, I die cut the tags and very, very lightly stenciled on a haze of subtle polka dots around the outside edges (in reality they're a little easier to see, but I couldn't get a great photo for the life of me). I stamped the sentiment from the Retro Holiday Greetings set in Evergreen ink from the new Pinkfresh Studios line. This is the first I've had a chance to try them and I'm looking forward to experimenting even more very soon.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/48994366397/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_NaughtyOrNiceTags3"><img alt="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_NaughtyOrNiceTags3" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48994366397_2264724e3c_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
Next, I die cut the same tag shape from aqua cardstock and stamped the "To:" and "From:" from the Speed Tagging Christmas Sentiments set from The Greetery. I adhered those to the reverse of the white tags for a nice contrast from one side to the next.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/48993624023/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_NaughtyOrNiceTags2"><img alt="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_NaughtyOrNiceTags2" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48993624023_6e5d385448_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
I attached the Santas with foam tape and embellished their hats with glitter and pom-poms. The texture and sparkle are so nice with simple tags like these. I finished things off with bits of cherry baker's twine. These tags turned out so effortlessly festive and I'm super excited about that. Sometimes using just the right sentiment is all you need to pull a design together.<br />
<br />
Thank you so much for joining me today! I hope you have a crafty weekend planned. Enjoy and I'll see you again soon!<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>Good morning, friends! Thank you for joining me for another Festive Friday! If you've spent any time around here you may have noticed that I love a shaped tag. So today, I thought I would pair a new set I picked up from Altenew called Festive Foliage with the Speed Tagging Christmas Sentiments from The Greetery to create a fun trio of cheerful Christmas trees.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/48955063906/in/dateposted/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_FestiveFoliageShapedTreeTags"><img alt="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_FestiveFoliageShapedTreeTags" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48955063906_52a603c0e1_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
I used Spruce and Seafoam inks to stamp the tree foliage. I love that you can opt for a two step version or a single step version with this set from Altenew! I wanted the heart to have a presence, but I didn't want it to be too strong (and potentially obscure my sentiment) so I chose to very lightly sponge It's A Girl ink around the edge of the solid heart image before stamping it into place. The result is a really lovely, barely-there halo that I'm totally digging.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/48954513558/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_FestiveFoliageShapedTreeTags2"><img alt="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_FestiveFoliageShapedTreeTags2" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48954513558_271e0b56fe_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
Then, I stamped the sentiment from The Greetery's set atop the heart and added a die cut bow (also from the Speed Tagging Christmas Sentiments set). I embellished each bow with a tiny red rhinestone and then glittered a few of the dots in the foliage with silver glitter. I just did the dots randomly and I like that it doesn't look too planned out, but it adds a nice touch of sparkle.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/48955064026/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_FestiveFoliageShapedTreeTags3"><img alt="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_FestiveFoliageShapedTreeTags3" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48955064026_4c4bb90384_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
You could simply stamp the "To:" and "From:" on the back, but I chose to make these folded tags. All you have to do is prefold your cardstock and die cut with about 3/4" of the top of the die hanging over the edge. Easy! I stamped the insides with the "To:" and "From:" from The Greetery's set and then adhered them to the fronts. A little white crochet thread finished things off nicely.<br />
<br />
Thank you so much for joining me today! I hope you're enjoying this little series of mine. Have a wonderful weekend and I'll see you again soon!<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>Good morning, friends, and welcome back for this week's Festive Friday post! I'm really enjoying getting in the holiday spirit before the panic of seasonal preparation sets in. Every year I try to pack in just a little more than I probably should, so getting my tags made well ahead of time makes me feel like I'm really on the ball. I may only have two gifts purchased, but gosh darn it, I have tags!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/48916843217/in/dateposted/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="FestiveFriday_LizzieJones_ChristmasStripeTags"><img alt="FestiveFriday_LizzieJones_ChristmasStripeTags" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48916843217_960f7964e4_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
I decided today to make a big(ish) batch of tags, but I kept them nice and simple to make the process streamlined. If you have a stamp platform, things go even more quickly and smoothly. I was able to whip up this set of six tags with very little fuss.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/48916638841/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="FestiveFriday_LizzieJones_ChristmasStripeTags2"><img alt="FestiveFriday_LizzieJones_ChristmasStripeTags2" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48916638841_cd36e0c29f_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

I bought the Tag'd stamp set and die from The Stamp Market several months ago, but this is the first time I've actually used it for tags (I've used some of the sentiments for cards though). I also pulled out some of their new inks and cardstock for a nicely coordinated set of tags.<br />
<br />

The baker's twine is a great way to pull those festive colors in once more, but simple crochet thread would be a great option if you didn't have quite the right colors on hand. I like to try and keep the scale of the package in mind when I'm wrapping a gift, and I think these tags are a great size for bigger boxes. They'll also be perfect for adding a pop of color to more neutral wrapping papers!<br />
<br />
Thank you so much for joining me today! I've received some very fun packages in the past week or two, so I hope to make some cards to share around here very soon. Getting to tuck into those boxes is my reward for wrapping up a few home projects lately and I can't wait! Have a great weekend and I'll see you soon!<br />

<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>Good morning, friends! Do you realize there are only ten and a half weeks until Christmas?! Ten and a half weeks! I'd love to get ahead this year, so it's time to get cracking!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/48877276352/in/dateposted/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_StockingPocketTags"><img alt="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_StockingPocketTags" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48877276352_9f1a0bde32_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
Today, I have a trio of pocket tags made with Concord & 9th's <b><i>Stocking Stuffers</i></b> set. I couldn't wait to get my hands on this set when I saw it during their release countdown. It's totally cute and the stocking is such a great size. I decided to treat myself to a new set and I'm so glad I did!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/48876546558/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_StockingPocketTags2"><img alt="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_StockingPocketTags2" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48876546558_dbb9641a36_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
I began by stamping and coloring the stockings and fillers with Copic markers. I die cut those pieces along with the cuffs and toe and heel details and an extra stocking for each tag. I also cut the inside slider pieces and stamped those with the "To:" and "From:" greetings from the <b><i>Christmas Care-A-Van</i></b> set from The Greetery.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/48877276517/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_StockingPocketTags3"><img alt="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_StockingPocketTags3" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48877276517_f8f4eea708_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
I sandwiched two stocking pieces (one colorful, one blank) with foam tape, tucking the "To:/From:" piece inside. I adhered one stocking filler on the top of each sliding piece and embellished each with a touch of glitter to make them sparkle. I finished up by using the heel, toe, and cuff details to dress up each stocking. Then, I adhered the stocking hangers to the back to use to tie on a bit of crochet thread. The end result is adorable and I can't wait to attach them to my packages this year!<br />
<br />
Thank you so much for joining me today! I hope to see you back here again for Festive Friday next week. Have a wonderful, crafty weekend!<br />

<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>Good morning, friends, and welcome to this year's inaugural Festive Friday! I had so much fun with this series last year that I decided to go ahead and do it again. Plus, by the time the holidays rolled around I had more than enough tags on hand to decorate my packages. I hope you'll join me every week from now until Christmas. You could even play along if you're so moved!<br />
<br />
This week, I thought it might be fun to create a couple of treat boxes with the new<b><i> Candy Pops Rectangle</i></b> die from The Greetery (<i>it releases today at 10am on <a href="https://thegreetery.com/">The Greetery's website</a>, so be sure to swing over there to pick up one of your own</i>).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/48840080746/in/dateposted/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_TheGreetery_CandyPopsTreatBoxes"><img alt="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_TheGreetery_CandyPopsTreatBoxes" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48840080746_017511b994_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
I also paired it with the <b><i>Tear Away Rectangle Die</i></b> and <b><i>Candy Pops Peppermint Addition Die</i></b> for a super festive package that is perfect for tucking into stockings. In fact, I think I'll probably make more of these so everyone on our list can get a sweet surprise to enjoy while they open presents!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/48840255092/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_TheGreetery_CandyPopsTreatBoxes2"><img alt="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_TheGreetery_CandyPopsTreatBoxes2" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48840255092_4bedfdba11_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>On the front, I stamped a sentiment from the <b><i>Candy Pops Sentiments</i></b> stamp set. On the back piece, I embossed the "To:" and "From:" from the <b><i>Speed Tagging Christmas Sentiments</i></b> set on the tear-away panel. I used the deep rectangle clear bubbles and filled them with Crunchy Mint M&Ms. I'll be honest, I bought these specifically for color, but after trying them I'm a fan. They're like a Thin Mint/M&M hybrid! If you like Thin Mints, I highly recommend them!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/48840255157/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_TheGreetery_CandyPopsTreatBoxes3"><img alt="LizzieJones_FestiveFriday_TheGreetery_CandyPopsTreatBoxes3" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48840255157_86ac37c655_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
I embellished my packaging with a bit of glitter (but only on the outside, so the candy itself is free and clear) along with bits of cherry baker's twine. These truly are so fun and they hold just enough candy to give a little treat without making your sister want to string you up by your toes because you fed her children a boat-load of sugar. Not that I would ever do such a thing (I actually probably wouldn't - that's Grandma's territory).<br />
<br />
Thank you so much for joining me today! I hope you've enjoyed today's Festive Friday kick-off! I'll see you back here next week (if not before). Have a wonderful weekend!<br />

Welcome back for Day 4 of <a href="https://blog.thegreetery.com/2019/10/03/speed-tagging-and-sweet-as-sugar-treats/">The Greetery</a>'s holiday countdown (all of the new products will be available at 10am on Friday, October 4th on The Greetery's website)! Today is all about packaging and dressing up your seasonal parcels. I love, love, love packaging and tags and all things gifty, so today's introductions are right up my alley! Let's get to it!<br />
<br />
First up, I have a collection of tags to share with you. These tags were a snap to create, thanks to the ingenious design behind the <b><i>Speed Tagging</i></b> collection.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/48835309511/in/dateposted/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_October2019_TheGreetery_SpeedTaggingChristmas_SpeedTaggingTags"><img alt="LizzieJones_October2019_TheGreetery_SpeedTaggingChristmas_SpeedTaggingTags" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48835309511_56078affae_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
Betsy designed this collection to be a one stamp, one die cut, seven tags solution to making your holiday gift tags a snap. You seriously just stamp the rubber, cling mounted image once, line up the die with the dots on the pattern, and then die cut for a total of seven tags at a time.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/48834938698/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_October2019_TheGreetery_SpeedTaggingChristmas_SpeedTaggingTags2"><img alt="LizzieJones_October2019_TheGreetery_SpeedTaggingChristmas_SpeedTaggingTags2" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48834938698_35ef1fdf41_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
I chose to stamp my tags in a few colors and make each tag double sided to give them a more polished overall look, but that was totally optional.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/48834938868/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_October2019_TheGreetery_SpeedTaggingChristmas_SpeedTaggingTags4"><img alt="LizzieJones_October2019_TheGreetery_SpeedTaggingChristmas_SpeedTaggingTags4" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48834938868_e1a91b0769_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
All of the tags are symmetrical which made making them double sided a breeze. I just stuck the "bad" sides together before tying each tag with crochet thread. I use fabric ribbon to wrap my gifts, so the crochet thread is a nice neutral that blends in fairly well when I'm tying my bows.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/48835309691/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_October2019_TheGreetery_SpeedTaggingChristmas_SpeedTaggingTags5"><img alt="LizzieJones_October2019_TheGreetery_SpeedTaggingChristmas_SpeedTaggingTags5" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48835309691_b51170c99d_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
I used the new <b><i>Speed Tagging Christmas Sentiments</i></b> stamp set and die to give each tag a touch of holiday flair. I particularly love the foliage and bow, but the stars and some of the more generic greetings (like "A gift for you") would make perfect birthday options, too!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/48834938948/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_October2019_TheGreetery_SpeedTaggingChristmas_SpeedTaggingTags6"><img alt="LizzieJones_October2019_TheGreetery_SpeedTaggingChristmas_SpeedTaggingTags6" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48834938948_d8727ffe56_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
I love the variety of shapes and sizes you get with a single impression and die cut. And several of the tags also have embossed or pierced details that would make them interesting even if you chose not to stamp the patterns.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/48835481732/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_October2019_TheGreetery_SpeedTaggingChristmas_SpeedTaggingTags3"><img alt="LizzieJones_October2019_TheGreetery_SpeedTaggingChristmas_SpeedTaggingTags3" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48835481732_b2d6b8f6d6_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
If you love gift packaging and tags as much as I do, this collection is an absolute must have!<br />
<br />
My final project today is a charming gift topper I created with the new <b><i>Candy Pops Circle Die</i></b>. I couldn't help but see a giant lollipop when I looked at that die and I thought it would make an adorable gift topper/tag!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/48834938533/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_October2019_TheGreetery_CandyPopsCircle_CandyPopsSentiments_LollipopGiftTopper"><img alt="LizzieJones_October2019_TheGreetery_CandyPopsCircle_CandyPopsSentiments_LollipopGiftTopper" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48834938533_12a521de97_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
I used the Candy Pops die to cut a folded shape (simply die cut with the fold below the blade on your intended top edge) first. On the inside, I adhered a circle that I'd stenciled with the swirl (just die cut from a scrap and gently blend through the negative) and stamped with the "To:" and "From:" included in the <b><i>Candy Pops Sentiments</i></b> stamp set.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/48834938628/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_October2019_TheGreetery_CandyPopsCircle_CandyPopsSentiments_LollipopGiftTopper3"><img alt="LizzieJones_October2019_TheGreetery_CandyPopsCircle_CandyPopsSentiments_LollipopGiftTopper3" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48834938628_494e05e79a_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
For the outside, I die cut the overall candy shape from white cardstock and trimmed off the top wrapper bit. I cut the circle from the inside and created a shaker filled with glitter and buffalo snow. The lollipop swirl on the inside of the shaker is also glittered for extra, seasonal sparkle.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/48835309416/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_October2019_TheGreetery_CandyPopsCircle_CandyPopsSentiments_LollipopGiftTopper2"><img alt="LizzieJones_October2019_TheGreetery_CandyPopsCircle_CandyPopsSentiments_LollipopGiftTopper2" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48835309416_8c8d419d70_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
I stamped the outer frame with a greeting from Candy Pops Sentiments before securing the shaker bits all together. Then, I embellished with a bright green bow and hot glued the whole tag/topper to a bamboo dowel to give it a realistic stick. I had a blast with this and I foresee several more lollipop toppers in my future!<br />
<br />

We're jumping right back in with Day 2 of <a href="https://blog.thegreetery.com/2019/10/01/a-care-a-van-of-holiday-cuteness-our-first-give-make">The Greetery's</a> holiday countdown (<i>all of the new products will be available on Friday, October 4th at 10am on The Greetery's website</i>)! This release has a little something for everyone, from elegant and sophisticated to charming and cheerful. Today's intros land somewhere toward the "joyful squeal" end of the spectrum.<br />
<br />
When I first saw the <b><i>Christmas Care-A-Van</i></b> set, I couldn't stop thinking about how fun it would be to use on a slider card. So that's exactly what I did!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/48825742201/in/dateposted/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_October2019_ChristmasCareAVan_DriftingDie_Fir&Foliage2_SendingMyThanksSliderCard"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_October2019_ChristmasCareAVan_DriftingDie_Fir&Foliage2_SendingMyThanksSliderCard" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48825742201_59105e6680_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I stuck with holiday colors on this card, but the sentiment would also be perfect for a birthday thank you, too, with a quick color swap. I used the bumper from the Happy Hippie Van die (that you'll see in just a minute) to create the slider. <i>Pro tip: You have to cut a couple of times to make the bumper fit all the way across the card, but if you start cutting at the left, all of the seams are hidden under the van!</i><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/48825368913/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_October2019_ChristmasCareAVan_DriftingDie_Fir&Foliage2_SendingMyThanksSliderCard3"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_October2019_ChristmasCareAVan_DriftingDie_Fir&Foliage2_SendingMyThanksSliderCard3" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48825368913_ca8e624718_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
I created the background with the <b><i>Fir & Foliage 2</i></b> set and the new <b><i>Frosty Flakes Stencil</i></b>. And, surprise, surprise...the Drifting Die has made another appearance. I truly cannot stress how much I love this die. It's a wonderful grounding element for this time of year! And, you know, a little glitter embellishment on the wispy swirls never hurt anybody.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/48825368863/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_October2019_ChristmasCareAVan_DriftingDie_Fir&Foliage2_SendingMyThanksSliderCard2"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_October2019_ChristmasCareAVan_DriftingDie_Fir&Foliage2_SendingMyThanksSliderCard2" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48825368863_9992faff46_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
The sentiment for today's card comes from the <b><i>Sentiment Suite: Thank You</i></b> stamp set that debuted last release. I love that you reveal the rest of the sentiment by simply pulling the tab and moving that adorable van across the card. Oh my word...it's a delight!<br />
<br />
Next up, I have a couple of sweet mini vans to share. One is a gift box and the other doubles as a holiday ornament. How fun is that?!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/48825899622/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_October2019_ChristmasCareAVan_HappyHippieVans1"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_October2019_ChristmasCareAVan_HappyHippieVans1" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48825899622_ebe2c42293_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
Now, I think it's important to mention that not only is Betsy a design genius, but she's also thoughtful as well. She understands that budgets only stretch so far, so she designed the <b><i>Happy Hippie Vans</i></b> with two different options for embellishment.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/48825742016/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_October2019_ChristmasCareAVan_HappyHippieVans2"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_October2019_ChristmasCareAVan_HappyHippieVans2" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48825742016_fcd51df8da_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
One is an additional die that will cut the decorative panels on the sides of the van. The other is a more affordable stencil that gives you the option to blend on the panels instead. I did one of each today so you could see the difference.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/48825368658/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_October2019_ChristmasCareAVan_HappyHippieVans3"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_October2019_ChristmasCareAVan_HappyHippieVans3" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48825368658_321ab01490_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
I die cut the main van shapes from white cardstock. The pink van uses the die cut decorative panels while the green van uses the stencils. All of the other elements (tires, windows, etc.) are part of the main die. I used silver adhesive paper and clear cardstock to create realistic chrome and glass details on both vans.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/48825742121/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_October2019_ChristmasCareAVan_HappyHippieVans4"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_October2019_ChristmasCareAVan_HappyHippieVans4" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48825742121_3875e0fc77_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
These vans are a great size for small gift items or candies. Jewelry and lip balm would be perfect for a feminine option. Shock the heck out of your teenager by giving them keys to their "new enough" car. Or I'm sure cash rolled into a tube and tied with ribbon for gas money would be much appreciated. I wasn't able to get a gift card to fit with the back closed, but a paper gift certificate could be rolled or folded to fit. So many options!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/48825368768/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_October2019_ChristmasCareAVan_HangingHappyHippieVanOrnament"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_October2019_ChristmasCareAVan_HangingHappyHippieVanOrnament" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48825368768_1a0b29b4e5_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
I used sentiments and images from <b><i>Christmas Care-A-Van</i></b> to decorate the sides of both vans. Then, I set an eyelet in the top of the green van and threaded ribbon through to make it an ornament. How cute would this be hanging from your tree?!<br />
<br />
I hope you've seen something today that put you in a festive holiday mood. I sure am! I'll be back in a couple of days to share more from this release, but in the meantime there are some lovely ladies ready to wow you with their creations:<br />

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/48820002421/in/dateposted/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_October2019_ReleaseDay1Cards"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_October2019_ReleaseDay1Cards" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48820002421_e92c6a93b6_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
The next few days are packed with gorgeous new products that make creating for the holidays an absolute joy. Truly. Some of these new goodies are going to be staples in my collection for a very long time. Let's get to it!<br />
<br />
I generally like to try and keep my holiday cards on the simple side. I'm often rushing and sending a ton, so simpler designs work better for me on a number of levels. This card is no exception.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/48820155822/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_October2019_Fir&Foliage2_TreeTrimmings_DriftingDie_FrostyFlakesStencil_MerryChristmasCard1"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_October2019_Fir&Foliage2_TreeTrimmings_DriftingDie_FrostyFlakesStencil_MerryChristmasCard1" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48820155822_17d3eaf392_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
I used the new <i><b>Fir & Foliage 2</b></i> set for the evergreens and the new <b><i>Tree Trimmings</i></b> set to add gold embossed garland.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/48820155942/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_October2019_Fir&Foliage2_TreeTrimmings_DriftingDie_FrostyFlakesStencil_MerryChristmasCard3"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_October2019_Fir&Foliage2_TreeTrimmings_DriftingDie_FrostyFlakesStencil_MerryChristmasCard3" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48820155942_f9bb047b06_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
The delicate and subtle snowflake pattern along the top edge is thanks to the new <b><i>Frosty Flakes Stencil</i></b>. I am totally in love with how that stencil transformed the white space on this card without making it busy or overly fussy.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/48819643703/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_October2019_Fir&Foliage2_TreeTrimmings_DriftingDie_FrostyFlakesStencil_MerryChristmasCard2"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_October2019_Fir&Foliage2_TreeTrimmings_DriftingDie_FrostyFlakesStencil_MerryChristmasCard2" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48819643703_277ab9118b_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
Now, I may like simple design at the holidays, but I am also a proud glitter monster this time of year. Glitter all the things! These snow banks, created with the new <b><i>Drifting Die</i></b>, are just the tip of my glitter iceberg, people. They are sparkly, sugar-coated goodness and I'm not the least bit sorry about it. I do try and minimize transfer for my recipients by adding a layer of Xyron adhesive before die cutting and then burnishing the glitter once it's applied.<br />
<br />
Next up, I have a card that might look a tad on the plain side until you realize it's also a shaker! I love incorporating interactive elements when I can, so this was a really fun card to create.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/48819643423/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_October2019_ChristmasEve_DriftingDie_FrostyCornersDie_MerryChristmasShakerCard1"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_October2019_ChristmasEve_DriftingDie_FrostyCornersDie_MerryChristmasShakerCard1" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48819643423_a354d89b09_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
I used the <b><i>Christmas Eve</i></b> set for this card. This set includes the charming multi-step church you've probably already peeked elsewhere, but I wanted to use some of these smaller elements to create a sweet little woodland scene.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/48820002541/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_October2019_ChristmasEve_DriftingDie_FrostyCornersDie_MerryChristmasShakerCard2"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_October2019_ChristmasEve_DriftingDie_FrostyCornersDie_MerryChristmasShakerCard2" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48820002541_3d1f55f34d_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
I used another of the <b><i>Drifting Die</i></b> shapes to create a ground (and a place for my snowflake confetti to hide). The lacy snowflake decorations in the corners of my frames are the new <b><i>Frosty Corners Die</i></b>. I used the same die to create the aforementioned confetti from regular white cardstock.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/48820002641/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_October2019_ChristmasEve_DriftingDie_FrostyCornersDie_MerryChristmasShakerCard3"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_October2019_ChristmasEve_DriftingDie_FrostyCornersDie_MerryChristmasShakerCard3" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48820002641_acf4d70cdf_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
The Knit Wits stencil from the last release came in handy to add some texture to my frame and I used a bit of Cararra Marble glitter and a glue pen to embellish the snowflakes (because glitter). Isn't it a dreamy scene?<br />
<br />
There you have today's introductions, friends! See anything that really speaks to you? I'm telling you, run, don't walk to get those Drifting Dies. Seriously. I'm going to have a hard time putting those bad boys down.<br />
<br />
Thank you so much for joining me today! I hope you'll come back tomorrow to see what I have up my sleeve for Day 2 of the countdown. In the meantime these lovely ladies have more inspiration to share:<br />

I'm back today with even more Autumn goodness coming your way from <a href="https://blog.thegreetery.com/2019/08/22/grab-a-cup-of-joe-and-get-cozy-for-todays-product-reveal">The Greetery</a> this month (<i>the new release will go live on their website tomorrow, August 23rd, at 10 am ET</i>).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/48596837002/in/dateposted/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_August2019_Day4Cards"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_August2019_Day4Cards" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48596837002_e756a4e018_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
Today is all about enjoying a warm cuppa and snuggling in a cozy sweater. Two of my very favorite things!<br />
<br />
My first card today features the latest Katie's Cuties set. This one is called Getting Cozy and it includes a trio of sweet characters that are sure to steal your heart. I paired the set with a new favorite, the new Knit Wits stencil (you may have noticed a sneak peek of this stencil on my card the other day).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/48596700656/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_August2019_AutumnIsHereCard_1"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_August2019_AutumnIsHereCard_1" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48596700656_37cb372c4b_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
I started by stamping the knitting critters (say that five times fast) and colored them with a mix of Copics and Prismacolor Pencils. I laid down base color with the markers and then shaded with the pencils. It gives a little bit of a picture book vibe that I really love!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/48596837822/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_August2019_AutumnIsHereCard_2"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_August2019_AutumnIsHereCard_2" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48596837822_1bb8187bc6_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
I blended a warm background onto a white card base and layered it with a dark green panel that I stenciled with that great knit pattern. There is a second stencil that fills in all of those open spaces, but I wanted to keep the background a little simpler this time around so I just opted to use one.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="false" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/28039473@N07/48596838052/in/photostream/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_August2019_AutumnIsHereCard_3"><img alt="LizzieJones_TheGreetery_August2019_AutumnIsHereCard_3" height="320" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48596838052_2d55844553_z.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
I heat embossed the sentiment and added "varsity sweater" style stripes to the top of the card. I attached the critters to the card with foam tape and called it good. I'm really loving that pop of orange from the stripes!<br />
<br />
Next up, I have a card featuring the Cozy Cup collection. The layering options in this set give it such incredible depth and detail that I can barely stand it. I'm more of a tea girl myself, but you better believe I am going to use the heck out of this set all winter long!<br />

I wanted it to look like my coffee cups were resting on an actual table, so I whipped out some real wood paper for my background. It actually is a natural birch color, so I embossed my sentiment and then blended dark brown ink over the whole panel to "stain" it my desired color.<br />

I used ink blending to add color to the knit coasters and adhered them to the card front, trimming off any overhang. I thought it would be super fun to have the two cups together, already enjoying each other's company.<br />

For my mugs, I went with burnt oranges in keeping with the Autumn theme, but these mugs look gorgeous in any color you can imagine. The little pop of bluey-green foliage is a nice complement to those bold, warm colors. Honestly, the shading in this set makes it effortless to create a project with such dimension. It's going in heavy rotation around here for sure!<br />
