June Papertrey Ink Blog Hop

Good evening, friends! I had a little spare time today, so I thought I would whip up a card to play along with this month's Papertrey Ink Blog Hop. Here's the inspiration photo that Nichole shared over on her blog:

Aren't those vases dreamy? I wanted to try and recreate a similar feel on my card today.

Happily Ever After Card

I began by using the pint jar die to create a stencil. I simply die cut it from a piece of vellum and used it like I would any other stencil. Next, I used one of the paint stripes from Brushed Off to add a ground under my jar. I inked the image in Stormy Sea and then stamped off twice before stamping on my cardstock panel.

Happily Ever After Card 2

Then, I used the Cutting Garden stamp set to create a flower arrangement. I inked the blooms with Pale Peony and then sponged on a bit of Summer Sunrise to give their centers a touch of variation. I used cut up coaster to act as foam adhesive and give my blooms some depth. Then I stamped my sentiment using Stormy Sea and adhered my panel to a Sweet Blush card base that I'd sponged with one of the Modern Background Stencils. I rounded the corners and sprinkled on a few sequins to finish it off.

Well, that's all for me today. Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you enjoy the rest of the hop. See you soon!

Oh, I love your jar! Cutting Garden never looked better. It was on my mind to use it and then I got distracted with Gran's Garden. Another time. I really appreciate your inspiration!
