Market Street Thank You Notes

Hi there, friends! I just wanted to pop in today with another idea I had for the Make It Market: Market Street kit from Papertrey Ink. The kit is still available while supplies last, so I figured it couldn't hurt to offer you all another project. I thought up this concept when I was working with the kit originally, but I only recently had some spare time to bring it to fruition.

Market Street Thank You Trio

I created this trio of A1 cards using the awning stencil from the kit as a planter. It's the perfect size to work with the mixed flower bouquet that Betsy designed.

I began each of these by sponging the awning, upside down, on a piece of white cardstock. I die cut those with the rectangle from the Noted: Scalloped A1 Die Collection and then stamped them with the sentiment from Banner Style.

Next, I stamped a handful of bouquets using a variety of inks. I wanted to try several different color combinations and see which ones I thought were the best fit for the planters. Now I have a bunch left over for future cards. Win-win!

Then, I die cut the card bases using the same Noted collection as before and sponged a basic plaid pattern onto them using the striped stencil included in the kit. I went back in with the stitched line from the Plaid Builder set in a darker hue to add interest.

From there, I simply attached the focal panels onto the card bases with foam tape and did the same with my chosen flowers. I wanted a little sparkle so I used a fine-tip glue pen to add glitter to the center of each of the small flowers.

I love this size of card for thank you notes! These are sure to be handy to have around. Thank you so much for joining me today. Have a great weekend!
