Introducing Words To Live By, Text & Texture: Leaves, Seasonal Borders: Autumn, and Shape Shifters: Circle 3

Good morning, friends, and welcome back to Day 3 of the Papertrey Ink August countdown! I have so many of Betsy Veldman's great new products to share with you today. Her Words To Live By: Gratitude, Text & Texture: Leaves, Seasonal Borders: Autumn, and Shape Shifters: Circle 3 will all knock your socks off! So you don't need me to babble on and on...there are projects to see!

First up, I have a thank you card that pairs the gorgeous Text & Texture: Leaves background with the Words To Live By: Gratitude set.

I began by sponging a Rustic White panel with Saffron Spice, Harvest Gold, and Simply Chartreuse inks. I just sponged on areas of color without any specific rhyme or reason. The whole idea was just to add depth and variety behind the stamped leaves. Then, I stamped the Text & Texture: Leaves backgrounds, one in Canyon Clay and the other in Terra Cotta Tile.

I trimmed out that background and matted it with a Ripe Avocado Pierced Feature Frame die cut. Then, I stamped the "with" from Words To Live By: Gratitude in Dark Chocolate ink and wrapped that panel with Rustic Jute Button Twine. I added a faux button (you can read about how I made it on this post) and tied the jute in a simple bow.

I attached that to a Rustic White card base with foam tape and then added another Pierced Feature Frame die cut from Rustic White, this time with coasters underneath to give more subtle dimension. Then, I die cut a few of the Words To Live By greetings from xyroned Dark Chocolate cardstock and stacked them to create a nice, sturdy word. I adhered that to the card with a small piece of foam tape and some Multi Matte Medium. It makes me look forward to when the leaves start to fall around here!

Next up, I have a wine bottle tag pairing Seasonal Borders: Autumn, Shape Shifters: Circle 3, and a sneaky peek at this month's Bold Borders: Foliage. This project is quick and easy and would be perfect for taking to the upcoming Autumn celebrations for your host or hostess.

I began by die cutting a Wine Bottle Tag #2 shape from the new Bitty Big: Ocean Tides patterned paper. I love that our patterned paper is heavy enough that it can handle being a single layer on its own, by the way!

Then, I die cut the two center layers of the Shape Shifters: Circle 3 inside a plain circle die from my collection to create a focal point. I also die cut a plain circle from vellum and adhered that to the back of the Shape Shifters layer with foam tape before adhering both to the wine bottle tag.

Next, I die cut a few of the "for you" greetings from the Bold Borders: Foliage die from xyroned Americana cardstock. I sponged one with the matching ink to give the phrase a bit of depth and then stacked them to create dimension. I continued by stamping and die cutting the Seasonal Borders: Autumn images. I assembled them on the tag and adhered with a mix of flat and foam adhesive before attaching my greeting. I can imagine making several of these to have on hand this year!

Well, friends, that's all for me today, but I'll be back tomorrow with more of this month's release! In the meantime, Betsy, Dawn, Heather, Laurie, Melissa B, Melissa P, Michelle, and Stephanie all have their beautiful work to share with you today. Enjoy the rest of your weekend and I'll see you soon!

Hi Lizzie! My apologies for not making it by yesterday. Reading your post, I was amazed you sponged your inks for the first card, with no particular pattern in mind. I love that! & Your text & texture design turned out beautiful! Pretty "button"! And the bottle tag is perfect. A housewarming gift for the holidays, you just made me oh and ah at your beautiful tag. Great work Lizzie!
