More October Release: Sing A Song Of Christmas

Good morning, friends, and welcome for more post-release inspiration from Papertrey Ink! The new products are all available on the website, so you can pick them up right now! This morning I'm sharing a project with Betsy's new set, Sing A Song Of Christmas. This is a wonderful set full of beautifully illustrated instruments and festive song lyrics. There are many music lovers in my life and I can imagine this set being perfect for creating their holiday cards. Let's take a closer look!

'Tis The Season Card

I began by using the individual musical notes to stamp a tone-on-tone background pattern on a Pure Poppy card base. Next, I die cut a focal panel using the Sentiment Splits: Curve Vertical die. I very lightly sponged it with Aqua Mist and then stamped my sentiment in Pure Poppy.

'Tis The Season Card 3

Then, I die cut a second Curve Vertical panel, this time from White Adhesive Sheets with the sticky side up (though still covered by the backing paper). I peeled off the paper and adhered it to the back of my focal panel, leaving just about an 1/8" peeking out from the underside.

'Tis The Season Card 2

Then, I sprinkled Sterling silver glitter on the exposed adhesive. That gave me a sparkly, glittered mat! I adhered that entire piece to the card front with foam adhesive. Next, I stamped and die cut the fiddle using Green Parakeet, New Leaf, and Smokey Shadow inks. I adhered that to the left of the sentiment, overhanging the curved bottom edge just a bit.

'Tis The Season Card 4

I die cut three of the bow shapes and stamped the top one before layering them together and adhering them to the fiddle. I wanted to tie the silver in a bit more, so I used a fine-tip glue pen to add glitter to the center to each of the stamped snowflakes. This card just makes me so happy!

Thank you so much for joining me today! Make sure to visit Dawn, Keeway, Laurie, Melissa, Michelle, Stephanie, and Wanda for more inspiration. Have a great day!

Hi Lizzie! I am a growing fan and follower of yours - you're SO creative. I'm pulling out my Basic stripes as I'm determined to learn "plaid" backgrounds. I really like your musical background in this card! I also picked up Dash Away and stencils to create some of my own Christmas cards, ALL inspired by you. Thx so much Lizzie! :)
