Folk Art Birthday

Good morning, Friends! I have a full day planned, but I wanted to pop in quickly and share a card with you today. Last Friday was my mama-in-law's birthday. Let me tell you folks, I truly hit the mama-in-law jackpot. She's incredibly supportive and encouraging and lovely; I feel so very lucky to know her. So I wanted to make her a pretty little birthday card to top her gift.

I started by die cutting and stamping the large floral medallion from Fancy Folk Art. The flowers were die cut and stamped with a Sweet Blush, Autumn Rose, and Scarlet Jewel combo before being added to the medallion shape. The sentiment was heat embossed onto Autumn Rose cardstock and textured with the Aida impression plate (but you can't really tell because my photography skills are awesome). The banner was added using Scarlet Jewel ink and a bit of spare white stock and a little Sweet Blush scalloped border snuck under the bottom edge. Everything was adhered to a Spring Moss card front and the Scarlet Jewel parts of the flowers (the dots mostly) were embellished with dimensional glaze for a bit of texture.

That's all for me today. Thank you for stopping by and I'll see you again soon!
