Papertrey Ink December Countdown - Day 2

Good morning, friends, and welcome back to Day 2 of this month's Papertrey Ink new release countdown! I'm back today sharing Heather's super cute You Have My Heart stamp set and my Perfect Fit stamp set. Let's get to it!

I'm going to start today with a set of mini Valentines I made using Heather's stamps as well as her new You Have My Heart Envelope.

Mini Valentines 3

This little collection of small, heart-shaped notes turned out to be so darn cute! I can't wait to hand them out to the kiddos in my life.

Lizzie Jones - Mini Valentines

I used Bitty Big paper in Pure Poppy and Pink Posey (a stand-alone color releasing this month) along with cardstock in Pure Poppy, Aqua Mist, and Pale Peony to create the envelopes. Each flap is adhered with a contrasting color to give the envelopes a bit of pizzaz.

Mini Valentines 2

Then, I made little labels for the front of the envelopes using the stitched-edge circle from Dawn's Tag Sale #12. I cut the circles from white label paper and stamped them with the lines and heart from You Have My Heart and the "To:" from Keep It Simple: To & From. So quick and easy!

Mini Valentines 5

The notes I cut from white cardstock using the You Have My Heart die. The largest heart shape is the perfect size to tuck into the itty bitty envelopes.

Mini Valentines 4

I stamped the hearts with the scalloped heart frame and sentiment found in the stamp set. Then the back of each heart is available for a brief, handwritten message. I'm seriously loving these!

Supplies:

Next up, I have a tag that I'll tie to a bag for my grown up Valentine.

Lizzie Jones - You Complete Me Tag

I began by die cutting the large heart image from Pale Peony cardstock and stamping it with the heart puzzle in Perfect Fit. Then, I die cut a second heart, reserving the loose puzzle piece. I stamped that piece with a coordinating image in Vintage Jadeite ink.

You Complete Me Tag 2

Then, I die cut a Tag Sale: Quilted shape from white cardstock. I masked off the scalloped edges and sponged the center of the tag lightly with Aqua Mist ink. I went back over that sponging with a second layer of blending, this time through one of Dawn's new Stencil Basics: Hexagons.

You Complete Me Tag 3

Next, I die cut the Tag Sale Quilted banner and stamped it with a sentiment from Heather's Ways To Say: I Love You set in Tropical Teal. I trimmed off one end of the banner and hid the end under the  puzzle piece in the heart. I attached all of the pieces to the tag with foam tape and then used Berry Sorbet ribbon and a Tropical Teal button to finish it off.

Supplies:

And last but not least today, I have a card made with that same Perfect Fit stamp set. This one is super simple and could easily be used for a fella. You could even leave off the glitter if you wanted to, but where's the fun in that?

Lizzie Jones - Perfect Fit Card

I began by tracing lightly around a banner die onto white cardstock. Then I stamped my puzzle pieces and sentiment and ran the panel (with the die in place) through the impression plate sandwich in my Cuttlebug. That gave me the texture, but it didn't cut through.

Perfect Fit Card 2

I stamped the hearts in Aqua Mist before matting that layer with a piece of Green Parakeet patterned paper (this isn't in the store anymore, but if you took advantage of the big paper sale at the beginning of the year you may be lucky enough to have some on hand - if not, this pattern could be stamped easily).

Perfect Fit Card 3

I mounted that whole panel to a Tropical Teal card front with foam adhesive and then embellished the hearts with the aforementioned glitter. Again, you could leave it off, but I don't know anyone who doesn't appreciate a little sparkle once in awhile (even dudes). I'm a big believer in handmade cards being largely gender neutral.

Supplies:

Ok, friends, there you have it. That's all for me today, but make sure to check out today's introductory post over on the brand new Papertrey Ink blog and then check in on Amy, Betsy, Heather, Keeway, Laurie, Melissa, Michelle, Stephanie, and Wanda to see how they've used these great new products. Have a wonderful day and I'll see you tomorrow!
