Release In Review

Good morning, friends, and welcome back for this month's Papertrey Ink wrap up. I have shared all sorts of crafty goodness with you over the past several days, but there's still a few goodies hiding up my sleeve. Let's take a gander at the last but not least!

First up, I have a very simple card featuring Betsy's new Phrases & Praises set. I wanted the sentiment to be the star of the show, so I intentionally kept the design minimal.

This Is The Day Card

I began by heat embossing the sentiment onto a piece of the Walk In The Park patterned paper pad. I thought the rays behind the sentiment were the perfect pairing. I adhered that panel to a Fresh Snow Linen card base and rounded the bottom corners.

It felt a little flat, so I added a handful of die cut clouds to give the card a bit of dimension. I love that the sentiment truly take center stage on such a clean design.

Next up, I paired Winter Woods with Dawn's new Tucked In: Sympathy set for a soft sympathy card.

Here For You Card

I began by stamping the sentiment in Pinefeather ink onto a white card base. I masked off the edges of the card before stamping the pine boughs in second generation Ocean Tides and Stormy Sea inks. I added a few berries, also second generation, in Autumn Rose.

Next, I die cut a circle from a panel of white cardstock. I textured that panel with the Woodgrain Impression Plate before adhering it to the card front with foam tape. I tend to use nature imagery for sympathy cards and these pine branches are such a lovely option to have on hand. They're wonderful with or without their fine feathered counterparts.

And last of all I have a Christmas card featuring Heather's Monthly Moments: Mini Slide Frame set and Nichole's Type Strips III set.

Peace Love & Joy Card

I began by die cutting and stamping the figures from Winter Snow Globe. I colored them with Copic markers and set them aside. Then I die cut three of the slide frames and stamped them with the starburst patterned coordinating image in Spring Moss ink. I used them as mini windows for my Snow Globe figures, tucking the little characters into their openings.

Next, I die cut the Type Strip shape from Spring Moss cardstock and stamped it with one of the alphabets in Ripe Avocado ink. I trimmed out the letters I needed and arranged them on a white card base, popping a Grand Ampersand sentiment in there to round out the message. I added my framed Christmas characters with foam tape and then embellished them with a mix of Crystal glitter, Glossy Accents, and a mini pom pom. Cute!

And that's all she wrote on the November countdown (at least for now)! I hope you've enjoyed visiting me these past few days. Make sure to check in with Nichole, Amy, Ashley, Betsy, Danielle, Dawn, Heather, Kay, Laurie, and Melissa for another round of inspiring projects showcasing this month's new releases. Enjoy the rest of your weekend and I'll see you again soon!
