Dawn's Color Challenge Week 2

It's been awhile, but I was able to carve out some time to play along with Dawn McVey's second color challenge today. The colors were brown, white, turquoise, and mossy green.

It's a fairly simple card, but I'm really happy with the way it turned out. I stamped the row of stems in Spring Moss and added the flower blossoms in Water Lily Green and the bee in Burnt Umber. That strip was layered on a piece of dark brown cardstock that had been punched with the scalloped edge border punch. I wanted to get the turquoise in there again so I wrapped the stamped panel with a bit of double sided satin from American Crafts (the side that isn't showing is a diagonal stripe - I used the solid side). That entire thing was mounted to a Spring Moss base. The sentiment was stamped on a little piece of white cardstock and rounded with the small corner rounder (yellow) from EK Success. That was mounted to the scalloped border. I wanted the sentiment to stand out a little more so I added a pierced row just below it. The last step was to add tiny spots of glitter on each flower. Thanks for checking in today. I hope to be back again tomorrow!
