My first card today is a little "thinking of you" number.
I began by texturing a white panel with the Rustic Burlap impression plate and adhering it to a white card base. Next, I die cut a Tag Sale #10 die shape from Classic Kraft cardstock. I cut the frame, using that same die collection, from white cardstock and adhered it to my tag. I stamped the sentiment (from Bowl Of Sunshine) using Dark Chocolate ink and embellished the tag with Pure Poppy saddle stitched ribbon, a Spring Moss button, and some Rustic Jute Button Twine. Next, I mounted the tag to the crd front using foam tape.
Then, I die cut the apples with leaves shape and bowl shape from white cardstock. I stamped those with the coordinating images and adhered them to the tag shape. I wanted to give the bowl a little dimension, but I didn't want the thickness of foam tape, so I layered excess die cuts and strips of cardstock to get more subtle depth.
My second card would be perfect for a beginning of the year teacher gift (I thought I'd jump ahead to fall since I know most of you are finished with your end of year gifts already).
I began by layering a four inch square of striped Aqua Mist cardstock with a square of white cardstock (for stability). I then mounted that piece with foam tape to a white card base that I had stamped with a sentiment. Next, I die cut and stamped several apples (with leaves) and bowls. I arranged them in a grid pattern and adhered them to the striped patterned layer on the card. Then, I Xyroned some white cardstock and die cut three of the Wonderful Words: Teacher shape. I layered them together to create a little stability and depth and adhered the word shape to the front of the card. Simple!
Thank you so much for joining me today! I hope you'll pop back in tomorrow to see even more of Bowl Of Sunshine. In the meantime, Nichole, Dawn, Erin, Heather, and Maile all have projects to share with you today. Go check them out and I'll see you again soon. Have a great day!
