Confetti Toss - Day 2

Good morning, friends! Welcome back to Day 2 of Papertrey Ink's November countdown. I am so happy to hear about your excitement for Confetti Toss! It's going to be a fun one, folks! How about we get take a peek at two more cards featuring these stamps and papers?

Let's start with a card featuring one of the papers in the patterned paper collection. A note about the patterned papers, by the way: I used the images from the stamp set to create the patterns - no flipping or scaling or anything - so you can recreate these very same patterns in other color combos if you're hankering for a particular scheme. How great is that?! Anyway, on to the card...

Happy New Year Card

This seriously couldn't be easier. To begin, I die cut the word "happy" from the patterned paper. Then, I mounted the paper and the letters' innards to a Terra Cotta Tile card base with foam tape.

Happy New Year Close Up

Next, I heat embossed a sentiment from Year Round Happiness onto a strip of True Black cardstock. I trimmed the end at an angle and mounted it to the card front with more foam tape. And that was it! For those of us that may sometimes maybe possibly have a tough time getting their Christmas cards out on time (not this year, not this year, not this year...) it's an easy New Year card to produce quickly.

Next up, I have a congratulatory card to share. This one could be created in more masculine colors if you need something for a fella, but I was feeling the need for a touch of pink today.

Confetti Congrats Card

I began by lightly drawing horizontal lines on my card base to use as guides for my stamping. Then, I created my pattern by stamping my confetti in Limeade Ice, Aqua Mist, Summer Sunrise, Hawaiian Shores, and Berry Sorbet inks. I added a handful of Hawaiian Shores stars in there, too.

Confetti Congrats Close Up

Next, I die cut the Wonderful Words: Congrats shape three times from Hawaiian Shores cardstock and adhered them together. I coated the top with Glossy Accents and set it aside to dry. In the meantime, I erased the pencil lines and stamped the companion sentiment in True Black ink. I also embellished all of the solid Berry Sorbet dots with Crystal glitter. To finish it up, I simply adhered the "congrats" into place.

Thank you all for joining me today! I'll be back tomorrow with a few more Confetti Toss sneak peeks. In the meantime, Nichole, Betsy, DanielleDawnHeather, Melissa, and Erin all have projects to share with you today. Have a great day and I'll see you tomorrow!

  13. Love your cards, Lizzie!

Question: Where did the "Happy" die come from. Is it new or from an older set?

    Thanks
