Introducing Grins & Ghouls, Scared Silly, Corner Adorner, and Sentiment Staples: Halloween

Good morning, friends, and welcome to the kick off for this month's Papertrey Ink countdown! We're starting this month by celebrating Halloween treats. Heather's Grins & Ghouls, Lexi's Scared Silly, and my Corner Adorner and Sentiment Staples: Halloween are all making an appearance today (you can see all of the details for today's introductions HERE). I have a couple of treat boxes to share that would be perfect for a Halloween party or just special treats for the people you love.

Aren't these absolutely adorable? They're sure to bring a great, big smile to someone's face! The chocolate inside is just icing on the cake. Let's start with the little monster box, shall we?

I began by repeatedly stamping the sentiments from Heather's Grins & Ghouls set onto Limeade Ice cardstock using Simply Chartreuse ink. I love the graphic, text background that I got as a result! I die cut that cardstock with the Gable Box Die and assembled it using Scor-Tape to give it a nice secure hold.

Then, I stamped and die cut the Scared Silly monster pieces. I used Hibiscus Burst and Raspberry Fizz to be a nice contrast against the bright green of the box. I assembled the monster and embellished with googley eyes to give it a fun interactive element (not to mention a bit of texture). I stamped the greeting on a Keep It Simple Frames banner and attached both to the box. I think I need to whip up a few more of these for the kiddos in my life. They're cute and not too scary which I think is ideal for the younger set.

Next up, this treat box features Heather's Grins & Ghouls with this month's Corner Adorner mini set. I began by die cutting the Favor It Box #3 panels from Royal Velvet cardstock. Then I heat embossed the solid line cobweb with white powder and stamped the dotted layer with Fresh Snow ink. It gives a two-tone look for a bit of depth.

I assembled the box and set it aside for a moment. Next, I stamped and die cut the Grins & Ghouls jack-o'-lantern. I stamped the greeting on the Direct Messages banner, die cutting twice to shorten it a bit. I attached those to the box with foam adhesive and embellished the ribbon loop with Limeade Ice grosgrain and an Orange Zest button tied with baker's twine.

And as a final detail, I thought this box could use a bit of patterned tissue paper. I stamped the A Bit More: Grins & Ghouls pumpkins onto white tissue with Orange Zest ink. Then, I filled in the spaces in the pattern with the stars from Grins & Ghouls in Summer Sunrise ink. It's amazing how much of an impact custom tissue can make to a treat box. And it's so easy!

Thank you so much for joining me today! Make sure to check in with Amy, Betsy, Dawn, Heather, Laurie, Melissa B, Melissa P, Michelle, and Stephanie to see more of today's introductions. They're sure to have some wonderful projects to share. I'll see you back here tomorrow for another exciting day of introductions. Have a great day!

Love your cute projects! The corner adorner is great and so are the sentiment staples. They'll both be coming to my house!

My favorite is the monster box. I love those monsters. The bag with tissue is adorable too. I use stamped tissue for a lot of packages.
