Good morning and welcome back for a bit of post-release inspiration from the Papertrey Ink team! Today I'm sharing projects made with my
Textile Impressions set and Heather's
Land That I Love set. Remember, all of the new release projects are now available on the
Papertrey Ink website. Let's get to the projects!
First up I have a couple of very simple cards made with
Textile Impressions.
These are so easy, but I absolutely love how they came together. I may even make more in additional colors. To start I used reinkers (though you could also use watercolors) to create an ombré effect on watercolor paper.
When panels were
fully dry, I stamped the patterns using Versamark and heat embossed with white powder. Then, I went back with another ink color to add details. I used Hibiscus Burst on the orange version (though you can't really tell that it's pink) and Tropical Teal on the aqua version.
Then I stamped the sentiments and trimmed down edges slightly. I used foam tape to adhere watercolor panels to white card bases. Nice and easy! I love how the white embossing pops against the bold colors.

And next up I have a card showcasing
Land That I Love.
I began by sponging a rectangle onto white cardstock using one of the Herb Garden stencils.
Side note: I would honestly buy that kit just for these stencils - I love them that much. I started with the lightest ink and added progressively darker colors toward the top.
Next, I stamp the Celestial background while stencil was still in place. I wanted to add just a bit of interest to the sky and that worked perfectly.
Then I die cut the panel using the Double Ups: Rectangle die and heat embossed the fireworks. I used silver and Red Tinsel from Stampendous. I can't seem to find that particular color online anywhere though, so I'm not sure if it's still available. Ranger has one that looks similar.
I stamped my sentiment and then die cut two of the Cover Plate: Stripes Diagonal shapes. I assembled the stripes on the sticky side of an adhesive sheet panel to make things easy for myself. Then, I trimmed off the outside frame and adhered the striped panel to a Dark Indigo card base. Then I tied a baker’s twine bow around the card base and added the fireworks panel with foam tape. It's hard to tell in the photos, but those fireworks really sparkle!

Your first card is so nice and easy to make and looks wonderful. The Fourth of July card is awesome.
