More Papertrey Ink June Release: Garden Party & Cutaway Tags: Summer

Good morning and welcome back for another day of inspiration showcasing the June Papertrey Ink release. I'm sharing cards today made with Dawn's new Garden Party set and Nichole's follow-up to Cutaway Tags: Spring, Cutaway Tags: Summer. They're both beautiful florals that are sure to find a happy home in any stamper's collection. Let's get to the projects!

How about we start with Garden Party. I wanted to use a color scheme for the florals that's somewhat unique (or at least different from my typical palette). I went with blues, green, and white and I really like how it turned out.

How's It Going Card

I began by die cutting an Ocean Tides panel using the new To The Point Edgers die. I stamped the floral pattern with Fresh Snow, Enchanted Evening, and Dark Indigo inks.

Then, I added the flower centers with white embossing and went back in and stamped the solid flowers with VersaMark.

I added a scalloped Edgers mat using one of the scalloped Edgers dies cut from white cardstock. Then I heat embossed the Ways To Say: Hello sentiment onto a Dark Indigo card base and I adhered the floral panel to card front.

Next, I Xyroned a piece of white cardstock and die cut three “hello” shapes using the new Ways To Say: Hello die. I layered all three and embellished the top layer with glitter. I finished up by adhering the "hello" to card front atop the embossed sentiment.

Happy Anniversary Card

I began by trimming down a piece of the Herb Garden patterned paper and die cutting the bottom edge with Edgers die. Then I stamped the leaves and flowers from Cutaway Tags: Summer around circular opening in the pattern.

I used Vintage Jadeite for the leaves and Pale Peony, Berry Sorbet, Winter Wisteria, Aqua Mist, and Pure Poppy for the blooms.

Happy Anniversary Card 3

I added the sentiment, also from the Cutaway Tags set, in the opening with Royal Velvet ink. Next, I stamped the dotted pattern from Textile Impressions onto Fresh Snow Linen card base using Winter Wisteria ink. I adhered the floral layer to card front with foam tape and rounded the corners of the card base.

To finish up, I just tied on a crochet thread bow and embellished the flower centers with pearls. It's nice and simple - just the way I like 'em!
