Introducing Jungle Buddies & The Cover Plate: Mighty Jungle Die

Good morning, friends, and welcome to Day 1 of this month's Papertrey Ink countdown! I have so much to share with you this month! I'm kicking things off this morning by introducing my new Jungle Buddies and Jungle Buddies Sentiments sets along with my new Cover Plate: Mighty Jungle die. The primary stamp set includes three adorable, multi-step characters. I broke out the sentiments into their own set so the animals could be a little bigger and more full of detail. The mini sentiments set is absolutely packed with greetings that are wonderful with the Buddies or even alone. The Cover Plate is a fantastic complement to Jungle Buddies, allowing you to create cute scenes for the critters. You can also use the separate palm fronds and leaves all by themselves. Let's get to it!

Big Day Card

I started this card by sponging a bit of Aqua Mist ink onto a white card base. I speckled it with water and reinker and when it was completely dry I added a bit of sponged Limeade Ice to the bottom edge. I stamped a few leaves from the Palm Prints stamp set in Limeade Ice and Green Parakeet inks and the sentiment in Cocoa Bean.

Big Day Card 2

Then, I sponged a bit of New Leaf ink onto a panel of Green Parakeet cardstock. I die cut that with the Cover Plate: Mighty Jungle and set it aside. I also cut a Cover Plate: Mighty Jungle shape from white cardstock and trimmed out the vines to create a frame before adhering it over the Green Parakeet layer. I also die cut a few of the small loose vines from New Leaf and sponged those with Pinefeather ink. I adhered the Cover Plate die cut to the card front and tucked the small vines along the top edge. I just glued the tips of the vines to the card so I could curve them outward a bit to create dimension.

Big Day Card 3

Next, I die cut the giraffe and stamped him with Harvest Gold, Canyon Clay, and Cocoa Bean inks. I added tiny googly eyes to give his face a bit of whimsical personality. Then I used foam tape to adhere him to the front of the card. Isn't he cute?!

Thank you so much for joining me today! I'll be back in a couple of days with more Jungle Buddies and maybe something else too...stay tuned. In the meantime, Nichole, Betsy, Dawn, Heather, Melissa, and Lexi all have wonderful things to share with you. See you soon!

  4. I have a set similar to Jungle Buddies, so I'm glad that you were able to separate out the sentiments. From what I've seen of them thus far, they look to be a great mix with or without jungle stamps.
