Introducing What The Doodle

Good morning, friends! It's Day 4 of the Papertrey Ink 9th anniversary countdown and today we're sharing a look at Betsy's new What The Doodle: Butterfly collection. There are coloring sheets, a stamp set, dies...what more could you ask for?

I chose to do a little coloring today. The coordinating coloring sheets are available on either watercolor paper or smooth Stamper's Select white. I went with the Stamper's Select so I could use my Copics.

Special Day Card

I began by coloring the butterflies using a Berry Sorbet, Harvest Gold, Aqua Mist, and Smokey Shadow color scheme. When I was done with my coloring, I trimmed a little off both edges of the panel, cutting around the butterfly wings, and stamped the sentiment from the What The Doodle: Butterfly set in True Black ink.

Special Day Close Up

Next, I used one of the flower images from that same set to stamp a random pattern onto an Aqua Mist card front. Then, I mounted my butterfly panel onto the Aqua Mist layer using foam tape. I used a clear Wink of Stella pen to add glitter to the butterflies as a finishing touch.

Thank you all so much for joining me today! Make sure to check in on Nichole's blog to see today's announcements (you're not going to want to miss this one). You also want to see who else is joining Dawn and Betsy in today's showcase. I'll see you again soon. Have a great Monday!
