Good morning, friends! I'm back bright and early this New Year's morning with Papertrey Ink's January Color Play feature. We're playing along with this inspiration photo:
Don’t the colors in that yarn just call to you? I couldn’t resist such bright and cheerful colors, especially when the weather in my neck of the woods happens to be so gray. I thought this might be the perfect opportunity to create a perky greeting to chase away the winter blahs.
I started by stamping the floral pattern onto a piece of Fresh Snow Linen cardstock. I used images from Turning A New Leaf, Happiness In Bloom, and Bigger Blooms to built my background. I die cut the Wonderful Words: Hello shape from that panel before adhering it to an Autumn Rose card base with foam tape.
Then I die cut a Sketched Shapes banner from Simply Chartreuse cardstock and heat embossed it with a sentiment from the Wonderful Words stamp set. I finished up by adhering that banner to the front of the card with foam tape. I like cards like this that are simple enough to let the stamped pattern really shine. Nice and clean!
Thank you so much for joining me today! Have a wonderful weekend and I'll see you again soon!
