Introducing The Text Block: Christmas Die

Good morning, friends, and welcome to the first day of the Papertrey Ink September new release countdown! I am very excited to be sharing projects with you featuring the Text Block: Christmas Die (available September 15th). This die is all about celebrating the holidays! Let's get to a project shall we?

Side note: If you follow me on Twitter (in the sidebar----->) you may know this already, but we're right in the middle of moving and my hair is on fire. As a result my posts are going to be a little more succinct this month. If you have any questions just leave them in the comments and I'll do my very best to get back to you.

I impressed a Text Block: Christmas die onto Pure Poppy cardstock using the impression plate sandwich. I colored over the words with a glue pen and embellished with glitter (it looks patchy in the photo, but not in real life). The result are a bit like tinsel, which I love. I trimmed around the inside of the frame and matted it using a bit of gold cardstock I happened to have on hand.

Next, I stamped a Vintage Cream card base with holly and berries. I added Glossy Accents to the berries for a bit of shine. When that dried, I added the Text Block shape with foam tape. Easy, but sparkly and perfect for the holiday season. Try and forget that it was 82ยบ here when I made it.

Thanks for joining me today, everyone! Nichole and Dawn are featuring the Text Block: Christmas Die today and Betsy, Erin, Heather, and Melissa also have projects to share. Have a great day and I'll see you tomorrow!

  7. I love your choice of soft colors on the "Happy New Year" card! Makes me realize you don't always have to stick to traditional red and green for those Christmas projects. Thanks for the inspiration!
